Me encanto

I previously had the Medela pump in style backpack and the freemie Liberty from my first kid. My freemie Liberty broke and I was about to go back to work and hadn’t quite weaned enough to go without pumping. I was on the fence about buying another mobile pump, but I simply can’t be chained to a wall, even while at home. After a few days of use, I’m satisfied with the Medela freestyle flex and glad I purchased it, even if it’s not perfect. The suction power for me is plenty strong, even at just level 5, so that was not an issue for me as it was for some reviewers. The cons for me are: (1) the buttons are super sensitive so it’s easy to accidentally hit them walking around or if you try to put it in your pocket, (2) I wish it had a belt clip or neck lanyard instead of just a wrist lanyard and (3) the new pump parts obscure the nipple (as opposed to my old pump in style parts that are clear at the nipple) so I can’t totally see if my nipple is still making milk.As some users pointed out, this pump is not an “in cup” or in bra option, meaning you still have to look like a fembot or a dairy cow while using, but it seems to me the in cup options are pretty expensive with mediocre reviews, and my old freemie Liberty that broke (that was one of the cheaper in cup options out there) wasn’t as strong suction-wise or as durable/high quality as medela, so I’m happy to make that compromise back to an external option now, as long as I can still move around. In any case, I think this is a very solid option in the portable pump department. I think the quality is very high, as with most things Medela, and I’m glad I purchased it because I think it will encourage me to keep pumping 20 or so oz a day even after I go back to work since it’s easy to clean and use.

TLDR: I am an exclusively pumping mama who also has the Willow, Lansinoh Smart Pump, and Medela Pump in Style (old version from a friend). Let me tell you -- I use the Medela Freestyle Flex for all of my pumping sessions. It's the quietest of all, incredibly portable, increased my supply, and customer service is amazing.Reasons why I love this pump -While this pump is a traditional breast pump (it sticks out of your bra while you're pumping, and you have to watch how far you bend over so you don't spill milk out of the tiny holes in the connectors), it is slightly less annoying than other traditional pumps. The updated pumping parts are more intuitive (and therefore, easier) to assemble than previous versions, and the accessory parts are of nice quality. It is *insanely* quiet, and super portable (Yes, you can take it out of the house and pump, say, in your car, but you still can't pump in at like, the grocery store, because it sticks out the front of your special pumping bra and there's a fair amount of your breasts/nipples that is visible). The built-in, rechargeable lithium battery is really powerful, so suction power is great, even disconnected from the wall. It has a traditional USB plug on one end (this is how I charge in my car), and a USB-C plug on the other end. Another bonus - I think it increased my milk supply. The buttons can be a little picky - just make sure you don't stash the button surface pressed up against your body while you're wearing it lol. Customer service is *exceptional* - at least for me in the US, they overnighted me a new one when needed. And while we're on the subject of Medela, let me say that Medela is the brand that most hospitals use, which should tell you something about its quality, durability, and consistency. The pump I used right after I delivered, for example, was this huge machine that was on wheels - I was later told it was the Cadillac of pumps lol. While you definitely don't need to get this massive pump for yourself at home (the price tag on it is like $2-3k), I do recommend the Medela brand in general - they just know what they're doing, and the Freestyle Flex is the most portable pump they have right now. And bonus - you can use a 20% off coupon at Buy Buy Baby. While the Freestyle Flex is more of an "obvious" pump when compared to the Willow (which I also have) because the Flex is a traditional pump that sticks out of your pumping bra, rather than getting tucked inside, it is actually still quite portable, and also *insanely* quiet. It is the quietest of all 4 pumps that I have. It also has a slightly smaller profile than the versions before it, as well as other traditional breast pumps. And by that I mean, it doesn't stick out in front of you as much - don't get me wrong, it still sticks out, which is annoying, but slightly less so. Also, with all breast pumps, you really can't bend over, otherwise the milk will spill out some tiny hole somewhere at the top that I can never really locate lol. The Medela flex lets me bend slightly more forward before it spills. The fact that it doesn't stick out as much, and lets you bend forward slightly more may seem like only slight advantages on paper, but in everyday use, they actually are huge. It means that I am able to bend slightly more forward in order to pick up or put down the baby (saving my back), and I am able to hold her slightly more comfortably & securely because they don't stick out as far. Basically, multitasking is slightly easier - I am able to do laundry a little bit easier, or make a sandwich, or brush my teeth, all because they don't stick out as much to get in my way, and I can bend down a little bit further before I start panicking that I'm going to spill milk all over. The other thing that I really love about the Freestyle Flex is that I swear it increased my supply. I am one of the lucky ones whose body makes enough milk, so I was making about 32oz a day with my other pumps (for reference, my lactation consultant told me that anywhere between 28 - 32 oz a day was a good goal). After 6 weeks with the Flex, my average daily output has increased to 36oz (for my little one, that's an entire extra feeding). Obviously this isn't guaranteed for everyone, but I can only report on my own experience, so there you have it.  **UPDATE** After 2 mos, my supply has increased another 2 oz, for a total average of 38 oz per 24-hour period. I've literally changed nothing else, so I kinda feel like it's the pump??Beyond all that, it holds a charge well - I can go 3 sessions before I feel like I need to plug it back in, and it charges via USB-C. It also can be plugged into the car (if your car as a USB slot, or via an adapter), since it has a regular USB plug on the other end - amazingly portable! The pump itself is also quite small and slim, so it fits in pockets really well, including pants pockets (the back one). I even have a pair of yoga pants that have side pockets down the leg, and it fits in *those* small pockets (Kindred Bravely high-waist yoga pants - highly recommend!). Finally, I'll say that all of the accessory parts for the Medela are the best out of all of the traditional pumps that I've tried. The collection bags are better quality, the tubing, the little bottles for collecting the milk, even the lids - everything is just better designed, and better quality. Honestly, for as much as I rave about the Medela, they really should be paying me lol. The Willow actually is fairly nice quality as well, though the collection bags felt a little chintzy. And sidebar - the best storage bags (for freezing, essentially), in my opinion, are actually the Dr. Brown's bags (link below). And yes, you can mix and match for storage bags only - you'll still have to pump into whatever plastic container or storage bag comes with your pump, but after that, you can dump that milk into any plastic bag for freezing. I've had my Freestyle Flex for over 6 weeks now, and I can tell you that the *only* negative thing I can say about it is that the buttons can be a little overly-sensitive. I occasionally change the settings while the pump is in my zip-up pocket if the buttons accidentally get bumped in just the right way *through* my clothes. Easy fix - just tap another button to undo the accidental settings change and you're good to go again - but still, slightly annoying. Finally (finally!) a word on their customer service - Because of some dumb way I was initially carrying around the pump when I first got it, I thought the buttons weren't responding to my presses, so I acutally ended up retruning the first pump that I got. This process was *seamless*. Medela customer service is EXCELLENT. I contacted them both via online chat and email, and they were super nice and responsive, and sent me a replacement pump next-day-air, so I had a new pump literally the very next day. I also found out that their pumps have a *one year* warranty - all I had to do was take a screen shot of my Amazon invoice and I was good to go. Anyway, I think you can tell a lot about a company based on their customer service, and Medela is the real deal. Not surprising, though - I looked it up, and turns out, Medela was the first company to design & sell electric breast pumps for home-use in the early 90s (before that, electric breast pumps were relegated to the hospital). And home-use pumps - get this - were all manual before roughly 1991 *shudder*. We all need to thank our mamas for having to deal with manual breast milk expression for allllll thooooooose yeaaaarrrrrssss. Ok, that's it! Congrats for making it all the way to the end! And also - YOU GOT THIS, MAMA!!!!

This is a decent pump, a bit expensive for what it is. I’m an exclusive pumper and been renting a Medela Symphony from the hospital and periodically I use a Spectra S1 as well. The pump is pretty intuitive to use and I didn’t need to consult the manual. I like that it counts the time, unlike the Symphony. I use the Symphony at suction level 5 and I also felt most comfortable using the Flex at level 5. I usually get about 6oz per 20 min session (2-3 hours apart) with the Symphony but only got 4oz with the Flex on the same settings. The Symphony is very smooth during pumping with very little vibration, the Flex is similar to the Spectra in terms of vibration while pumping. I was able to use the personal fit flanges from the Symphony with the Flex. I found the parts from the Flex to be much easier to clean than the Symphony (one brush vs 2). The Flex is slightly louder than the Symphony but not bad at all. All of the accessories that came with the Flex were really well thought out: 2 sets of collection bottles, bag, cooler with ice pack, usb charger, and personal fit flanges. The flanges that came with were 21 and 24mm, I need 27mm, so that was a little disappointing. The lanyard is also weird, it’s for your wrist apparently but that kind of defeats the purpose of a portable pump. So you may need a neck lanyard, it also fits in the back pocket of jeans alright. Overall I would recommend this pump, especially if you have been using another Medela. I wouldn’t recommend it as your main pump if you exclusively pump, but it is good for light jobs in between using your main pump and if you just need to release pressure while out and about. I’m not sure I’d recommend it to use while you’re at work, I think the Spectra would be better for that.

There are a lot of things I love about this pump! I used the the Medela Pump In Style for many months, until I got this pump. Here are my list of pros and cons:(*I was given the pump to test and review. I am not a Medela employee, and this my honest review!)PROS-Portability! It’s a game changer to be able to move around and not be stuck sitting next to an outlet. You definitely need a good hands-free bra, but the portability has allowed me to do chores while pumping, or easily take the pump with me when going somewhere. It’s also much smaller than the PISA-Battery life is good! I often charge it after a couple pumps (and I pump for 30 minutes at a time), but I would guess it could last for multiple pumps… if you use the app/bluetooth connection, it tells you the exact battery life percentage which is very helpful! It has a USB charger which is also helpful-Parts are easier to clean than the PISA. I felt like the PISA had hard-to-reach crevices that would build up milk residue… I haven’t found that with these parts-I love the bag and cooler it comes with… definitely helpful/useful for traveling-suction is good, every so often I have to adjust the flanges to get correct suction)… but I feel less discomfort with this pump even when I have it on the highest level.-Bluetooth connection to the app is helpful for tracking pumps. I also like you can see how many minutes you've pumped by just looking at the pump…. I ALWAYS forget the time I start pumping, even if I look at the clock 5 times… when you are sleep deprived, it is helpful to not have to think much about tracking time!-You can easily switch back and forth to to let down mode, and there are 9 suction levels. I usually use at least level 7CONS:-It is quieter but still not “quiet”, especially on the higher levels. Not sure that you’re going to get a quiet/silent pump with a high-quality motor though-You still have flanges sticking out a few inches past your nipple, so while you can move around and do things you still have to be careful not to bump the flanges-I am not sure if you can do single side pumping… maybe there is a way and I haven't figured it out!-cost is high, but you’re getting a very good pump and pump accessories… so if you pump a lot, want to be able to go places and pump… then it’s probably worth it!-mine only came with size 21 mm and 24 mm flanges, and I use 27 mm.Overall this pump helped me to persevere through another couple months of exclusive pumping, and I am getting closer to my 1 year goal!

Muy cómodo , las copas ayudan mucho, compre el top para tener las manos libres y la experiencia mejora muchisimo. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Vale la pena
