I am really impressed by this sander so far. It is a substantial difference to a standard 2.5mm RO sander. You really notice that 2x orbit in the speed and smoothness of sanding. It also makes tasks like polishing with a felt pad possible since it actually has some real stroke/travel to the orbit. I cannot speak to longevity yet as I've only used for a few projects. I have run this sander and my shopvac on the same circuit with no issues at all. My basement is all on one breaker, so I was worried based on a few comments about the voltage drop sensitivity. I do not have an auto on dust collector though, it's just a shopvac and this sander plugged in.I really like the low vibration, since the stroke is longer it makes the numb hand problem a lot less than my other RO sander. The hand grip is also great, really like the cut out under the grip for hand positioning for longer sanding with low fatigue. The dust collector outlet worked well with my current setup as well. I have tons of 5" disks, so a model that comes with 2 sizes was a huge plus so I didn't have to buy a whole assortment of 6" disks yet. This is by far the most expensive sander I've purchased and it feels so in multiple ways. Even the cord is a nice feeling wire. It's not that cheap inflexible pvc garbage on most tools. It's a very supple and long cord which is rare these days. I can't compare to some of the much higher priced sanders, but if this one lasts I do not see any reason to spend 3x more.

I bought this sander a couple of weeks ago as I thought I'd give it a try for $300, instead of $1,000 for a Mirka or Festool, both of which I have used before. To my surprise the sander is very well built, well balanced, has a little more vibration that sneaks through than the other two, but it sands well and dust collection is good, not amazing but good. For the price difference, if this last me as a evening weekender woodworker for a few years then it's well worth it. It's honestly not that far off from the Mirka or Festool. So if you're saving for one of those two, don't overlook this sander, I'm very happy with my purchase. And it's night and day difference to one of the big box store Dewalt or Milwaukee sanders.

I gave this sander a trial run sanding a solid ash door. It does a great job. Not noisy and very little vibration. It has a very long power cord and the dust hose plugs right in to the one on my dust collector. The speed control is great and I like that it came with both 5 and 6 inch pads.Replacement pads are available on Amazon as well.

Genuinely surprised by the quality of this tool thus far. As a full time furniture refinisher - I am always using sanding tools. I have several different kinds and was thinking of purchasing a 5" orbital surfprep - but the hefty price tag stopped me cold. This is superior to my normal orbitals and on par with my 3x4 surfprep sander. Very happy with it.Five Hearts Refinishing

Like everyone else, I was looking for a Festool or Mirka type sander but didn’t want to pay their price. I read all the reviews and decided against getting it originally due to it randomly shutting off. I ended up circling back to the model because I saw some videos of a way to prevent it from shutting off. Apparently, it’s overly sensitive to voltage drops / peaks and most people plug it into the same outlet as their dust collector or vacuum. For some reason, this creates an issue with the sander and causes it to shut down. Knowing this, I decided to take a gamble and I got it. Granted, I have a window to send it back it if it shuts down.I was almost going to get the 3m but it had worse reviews and was more expensive.I’ve used it for a couple of days without an issue.I don’t have any cons right now but here are the pros…. It’s much quieter than the big Bosch I have, there’s zero hand fatigue, dust collection works great, it’s comfortable in the hand, good price, and I have the option of it being a 5” or 6” sander. There are lots of similar models on Amazon with different names but think they are all pretty much the same. However, I did see a review of a red one which was compared to the Maxx and 3m and the reviewer said the dust collection sucked. Sucked as in, it wasn’t good compared to this model and the 3m.If you’re on the fence, I say, go ahead and get it. Keep it plugged into a different outlet on a different circuit and just let the sander do its job without putting your weight on the thing and it will work fine.Update-- It's been a few weeks and it's working perfect. It hasn't shut off once.
