I love the Maxxis Rambler, (so 5 stars for th tire), but this listing is an inaccurate product description...no star rating available for the seller profile. Product title says it is the EXO version of the Rambler, but I received the heavier Silk Shield version. Silk Shield has more puncture resistance, but I run the Rambler because of its light weight, yet excellent performance on a variety of terrain including gravel and trails, even when dusty/sandy. I have other tires I run when I want extra puncture resistance that also have more aggressive tread for those instances.

Maxxis Rambler 120tpi Dual Compound EXO Tubeless Ready Folding Tire is just about useless. the attached photo was taken after a mile into the second ride on this brand new tire. I tried to trail side pump; got furious at the pump thinking it was the issue. Carried the bike home and upon further inspection found the bead completely chewed; irreparably so.I love my MTB maxxis tires of which i have mulitple. dhf, dhr, aggressor, assegi a few others as well. BUt the ramblers, which came on my gravel bike, have given me head aches. the 60tpi versions have given me the least consistent troubles, but both seem to be prone to tons of small punctures. and this is the second failed bead issue ive had. ive since ordered some Continental terra trails; well see how that goes.

I put many hard miles of chunky nwa gravel on these and they really stood up to the test. I will continue to purchase these tires.

Just replaced the rear after 3 years in use. Never got a single flat. I just wore it out. When the tread wears down enough you’ll know it. The sealant comes out all along the center tread. I really got my money’s worth. Won’t put anything else on the gravel bike.
