This is a very well made f clamp for wood working, with a slip proof spine that allows positive holding tension. The company uses a worm gear, not machine threads that take overly long to work. To note, the clamp once secure appears off angle to the workpiece, because on a proper 90 degree angle it skates across the surface. It comes with rubber pads that prevent mauling of expensive lumber. The rubber screw handle is comfortable and easy to turn.

I bought these because one end looked narrow enough to fit in the 1/4” gap between deck boards and they looked strong enough to pull the boards together. I needed something with enough strength to pull warped composite boards together and hold them to ensure a uniform 1/4” gap between boards. These worked far better than I expected. The end did just barely fit in the gap between boards and I was even able to straighten badly warped boards with substantial pressure required. They’re well built and the handles are large enough to apply the pressure required. The handles are also six sided so you could probably even use a wrench to apply extra torque to tighten even more if needed (although I never needed to do that).

I don't write many reviews. I researched clamps quite a bit before buying. Wanted a little more width clearance, which these clamps have. Was concerned that without the little spring loaded catch that some clamps have to hold the clamp closed (that these clamps don't have), it would require "three hands" to keep the clamp in place and tight while tightening because it would slip otherwise. Very happy that is not the case. You simply slide the clamp in place and it stays there without slipping as you tighten. Work very well, lots of pressure, don't slip, have extra width clearance, plastic pads don't fall off, and the threads on the tightening arm are very deep - all at a good price and free shipping! These are my "go - to" clamps
