Not Your Average Board Game
Blokus encourages creative thinking and has received a Mensa award for promoting healthy brain activity. The goal of this game is for players to fit all of their pieces onto the board. When placing a piece it may not lie adjacent to the player's other pieces, but must be placed touching at least one corner of their pieces already on the board. The player who gets rid of all of their tiles first is the winner and strategic thinking helps as you block moves from your opponent. Blokus sometimes comes to an end because there are no more possible moves.
Multiple Games in One
Four players make this abstract game especially fast and exciting; however, it can be just as fun for two or three players. Blokus has come up with a number of different ways to play the game to make it more thrilling when playing with less than four players. Draft Blokus allows a player to use more than one color and Reverse Blokus reverses the entire game so that the person who places the least amount of tiles on the board is the winner. It can even be played in a solitaire version when one player attempts to place all of their pieces in a single sitting.

Blokus is simple to understand, but the game's complexity is revealed shortly after everyone begins to play. It can be addictive, even for those not normally into abstract games. Blokus is a catalyst for spatial thinking, as players form images in their mind before placing the pieces on the board. Children and adults can play together for hours of competitive family fun. As Europe's 2003 Game of the Year, Blokus is adored by many and even played in professional tournaments.

Los colores son muy llamativos se ve muy bien el tablero mientras más bloques son colocados sobre el y el juego es muy entretenido

Nos encantó este juego, es de mucha estrategia y lógica, es para jugar de 4 personas. Recomiendo mucho, también es un gran regalo para los amantes de los juegos de mesa.

Lo compré pensando que sería un juego sencillo de aprender (lo es) y fácil de jugar (también). El asunto clave es que se vuelve competitivo muy muy muy rápido, todo el tiempo estás pensando como hacerle para avanzar por el tablero y también como ir bloqueando a los demás, surgirán alianzas, traiciones y esos momentos de inspiración casi divina; además, cada partida no tarda más de media hora, por lo que ya estarás planeando tu venganza para la siguiente, altamente recomendable.

El juego está padre en cuanto a su funcionamiento. Es todo de plástico, bien hecho, no muy bonito, pero cumple con lo que se necesita. Lo único que me irrito es la caja, es de esas clásicas cajas innecesariamente grandes que tiene adentro un pedazo de cartón para rellenar. Bien podría Mattel mejorar el diseño, hacer una caja más pequeña, con un cartón mas grueso porque esta se comba, más angosta. El juego no es regalado asi que aunque sea de una gran marca y produccion en masa, bien podrían mejorar.

This is one of those games that adults like to play as much as the kids so you won't mind playing it over and over again. Great for pre-schoolers too as they can easily grasp the concept of placing the pieces corner to corner as per the game rules. When not playing a game, mine also like to just put the colorful pieces on the board. This is a game I think younger kids can grow into as there are many different levels of complexity to this board game - from playing with the pieces to the competitive strategist. Who knew such a simple concept for a board game can be so much fun for everyone.

I was concerned that with no theme that my girlfriend's family would not like this game but I was wrong. It is a strong favourite for all ages and both girls and boys.What I like about this game is that it takes just 2 minutes to explain the rules but takes quite a lot of thought to play and master it. All the boys play it right down to 5 years old although the young ones need a little help. In the middle of the game it can take quite a lot of thought to make the best moves.I think it is best played with 4 people. You can play 3 player and take turns to play the dummy hand or play with 2 and control 2 colours. In the box you get a large plastic board and 4 sets of 21 coloured shapes. All the pieces are sturdy and well made plastic. The shapes slot into the grooves of the board and are relatively stable but not completely knock proof. It is important not to loose any bits because that ruins the game so I suggest that you keep the bits in baggies.Games are about 30 minutes long.Very Pleased that I got this game and I recommend it for all ages if you like a game that will make you think strategically.

Ho oltre 200 giochi da tavolo nella mia collezione ma quello che apro sempre volentieri è Blokus! Regole semplicissime, si impara in un attimo e ci possono giocare anche i bambini. All'inizio sembra tutto semplice ma poi inizia la vera battaglia a colpi di chiusure e tattiche diverse! In 4 è spettacolare e mai scontato!
