The sponge on the Stay Wet palette handles a lot of abuse and can easily rinse off any spill over. I find it great pallet for using with gouache.

I buy these even though I do not use the Masterson Sta-Wet pallet anymore. It's paper is not good for the stlyle of acrylics I use (miniature painter using gel style paints as well as inks) , but their sponges are perfect.I cut them down to size for my current pallet by Redgrass games and I highly recommend you use these sponges with any wet pallet you use. If you do, just remember to cut them larger than needed for your pallet to snugly fit in. If the paper, no matter the brand, hangs over the edge of the sponge it dries and curls up fast.They are also a lot easier to clean out paint from than most other sponges I have used.
