Fits well, looks good. Sole is hard, not rubbery, probably fairly durable. The fasteners are a bit odd, would have preferred buttons or straps, but otherwise a well-made boot.

1) Read the reviews and suggestions for size if you are casually walking/performing non-intensive training.2) If you are planning on swordfighting, running, or training in these shoes then I highly recommend buying 1 cm to 1.5 cm higher than your suggested size using the reviews.3) Black toe is caused by the constant ramming of the toe against the inside of the shoe. Therefore, you should buy your size to allow some toe space to prevent injury.4) This is an AMAZING SHOE. It takes training and conditioning to get used to but it is perfect for sparring, running, crawling, gripping wet grass, staying silent, etc. Super tough, super durable.5) Buying some heel inserts may help the initial pain you might have when training in these shoes.

I found the size chart online to be a bit difficult to decipher. They only list in centimeters. I almost chose a different pair from a different seller because I was so unsure. I am so glad that I didn't!I normally wear a size 11.5 in boots. My foot measures at 27.5 cm. I bought the 27cm and held my breath. They are a perfect fit including my thin tabi socks. Super comfortable and light as air. I love the metal clasps instead of the Velcro seals. I wore them for days in a row thinking I would need to break them in but I don't. They are durable and stealthy. I am very happy with this purchase.
