I am personally a fan of the round pole sanders. Seeing the Marshalltown name, I was excited to get this one. Upon receiving it, I noticed that it is made in China. That was a disappointment. That being said, the sanding head seems to be sturdy, and there is a substantial foam backing behind the Velcro. In addition, the articulating joint that connects to the handle is made of metal, and it feels sturdy.Overall, I'm pleased with this pole sander. For the price, I think it should come with some sandpaper.

This is my first experience with a round pole sander.... I like it!In the past with traditional-rectangular sanders, extra care was needed to not inadvertently create sanding lines while sanding in vertical or horizontal corners... no problems here.Since it is round, it is evenly balanced and doesn't flop like its rectangular cousin.I also like the hook and loop sandpaper vs. the screw down strip style of my last rectangular pole sander.Obviously this doesn't sand into a three wall corners, but does great everywhere else.I recommend this sander. It is as described and pictured on Amazon - 5 Stars from me!
