Product came without the face padding. There are sticky circles which stuck to the packing paper, but the pads are missing.

Started pitching slow-pitch softball this past season, and after having a few hard hit line drives come back up the middle at me, I decided I'd prefer not to undergo facial reconstruction surgery in case my reflexes fail me. I found this mask online; the price was right, it looked well made, and included good forehead padding and a sizable chin guard, which I figured would be useful if ever the mask was ever "tested in combat".So far, I have been pleased with the mask. The straps adjusted easily to fit my head, and the mask works just fine with a backward baseball cap that I wear to help wick sweat away, and to protect the back of my neck from getting sunburnt. The chin guard is made of styrofoam, so people who profusely sweat, like me, might find their sweat is collecting a bit in the indentation your chin fits in. The chin guard is attached using velcro, in case you need to adjust the fit. I found that there is adequate space under the mask to wear sunglasses, which is a nice bonus.Thankfully, I have not had any instances where a batted ball has struck my mask, so I cannot speak to how the mask reacts to that. And, with a bit of luck, I'll never have to find out. I do know the upper opening in the mask is narrower than a slow-pitch softball, which is good for what I need, but I don't believe it's narrower than a baseball, so you might need to look elsewhere for a mask better suited for baseball if that's what you need.

This mask arrived as planned but was missing the chin cup pad. The mask is worthless without the chin pad. I like the mask overall so I will keep it and look for a replacement chin pad since it is impossible to contact Markwort to get a replacement pad. REVISED REVIEW. I was eventually able to contact Markwort directly and they are sending me a new chin cup pad. Amazon apparently was not. My review was changed from 1 star to 5. I prefer this lighter more well balanced mask to the metal masks when I have to chase popups and grounders. You can take a tumble and still have the mask remain in place. Me likey!
