Great size for the half pound butter bars and cream cheese. Bought several also a great gift. I love that the lid sticks to the base when lifted.

I love neufchatel - the lower fat version of cream cheese. Actually, I love both, but I don't need a higher fat content when the difference between the two is barely distinguishable. But I'm the only one in my family that loves it. In the past I've hesitated to open a new 8 ounce package knowing it would get crusty on the outer edges quickly.So I've wrapped it in plastic wrap, aluminum foil, put it in sandwich bags, in plastic bowls with lids - which has worked out best - but digging some cheese out from any of these options is messy.Until NOW! This keeper works just like a butter keeper, the whole top lifts off and you have your cheese presented to you on a slab, easy for getting a slice, a sliver from the top with a potato peeler, or the whole block if you are making a cream cheese cake icing.No more watery, gooey mess in the bottom of a bag. No more crusty edges - if you eat it soon enough. Actually, now that I think about it, this would be a good keeper for blocks of mozzarella and cheddar too. Not to mention double sticks of butter if you have a large family table.

Should have purchased long time ago. Keeping blocks of cream cheese has always been annoying.

I got it to use with my cream cheese. Works wonderful and it keeps it from drying out. I use it every day for my dogs medicine and not a single issue. Waiting for them to get back in stock so I can have another for when I open a new cream cheese.
