Purchased for use with portable diesel heater to get the heat up to my roof top tent. Reasonable price compared to what I was finding locally so happy with that. Length is perfect for my set up. The claimed 3" size is somewhat questionable though. My fittings measure dead on 3" and it was a chore getting this on without damaging/tearing, it was TIGHT. It is also not nearly as robust as I was expecting but with a little tlc should be ok. I ran it for quite a while as a "break in" and did notice an odour if I smelled the black outside surface but did not get any odour inside the rtt from the air flowing though the inside. I purposely wanted something somewhat "insulated" (foil) in order to minimize heat loss from heater to rrt but didn't really want an ugly silver foil tube so although the black cover/coating is not as durable as I had hoped it at least looks nice. As for the heat transfer it is working well, 0c outside and 20c inside with the heater on its lowest possible setting. Overall very happy just wish it was a little tougher.

The hose is as described. I would like to add, however, that I bought the product for use in my vehicle in my dash. With that said, it is extremely strong, and also heavy duty. As much as I wanted for it to work, it will not. Even though my ducting is 3", this is just a little too small, it won't stretch around the ducts. Almost any other vent hose would have tore had I put it through what I put this stuff through. I am currently using it, but sadly, it won't be permanent. I'll get more in the next size up.
