I bought this to replace the original piece on my Instant Pot. The first one got melted getting set on the stove. This replacement fits perfectly and works exactly as the original one.

I got this to replace my original one that "disappeared" when I lent my pot to someone for a short time.

I bought this for a 6qt Ultra. I installed it, and performed the initial test, "water test." This steam release sealed and all seemed well. I attempted to cook something, but this time the steam release held for almost the entire 12 minute time, then began seeping steam. On the next attempt at cooking food, this release started spewing steam as soon as the pin rose. I then tried this part on my 3qt Ultra, wondering if my 6qt had abruptly developed an overheating condition or something. Unfortunately, it spews steam the exact same way on my 3qt, which runs at lower pressure than the 6qt. I reinstalled the old original steam release on my 6qt and tested it, and the 6qt performs flawlessly. So, this steam is defective and I shall return it.

So once upon a time, I was cooking on my gas range stove and noticed a plastic smell. Upon some investigation, I see that the valve from my Instant Pot is an inch away from the fire... melting. So I start my search for a replacement.I come across this and I was skeptical at first because it was so cheap. I took a chance and tried it out since it was a good price.Once I received it, I installed it on the Instant Pot right away with no fuss. It went on easy, and dare I say that I feel its better than the original? It fits on so well, I do not think it will come off as easy as the original and fall into my gas range stove to melt away!If you need a replacement for your Instant Pot valve, look no further! This works, easy to install, and at a great price!!!
