I'm old enough to have played with paper dolls when I was a child. There was no such thing as paper dolls with magnetic clothes. This Princess puzzle set is a little different in that we don't have the fun of cutting out the clothes or sitting the "paper dolls" around anywhere. They're just in a book and the clothes from the other page are punch out.The children can play with these at home, in the car, or anywhere because the size is just right. These are fun and cute. I think the girls can make up stories and use their imagination while playing with these. Since the pieces stay in place magnetically, that will help with not losing pieces, BUT they don't stay in place that well. Therefore, I recommend putting the book in a gallon size Baggie or some other type of box or bag to be sure pieces don't slide out on the go. I think $15 is a little steep, but then everything has gone up tremendously in the last year or so, so why not toys? I would buy again.

This magnetic Fairy set reminds me of the paper dolls I played with as a child. This is a good set for little children about ages 3-5 when designing outfits and imaginary stories is at a good point & is best used with a friend. (A younger child likely would be interested, too, but will need closer supervision). The 3 multi-ethnic fairies (YAY!) come with different pieces to change out their outfits and other accessories (eg, flowers, bumblebees, crowns) to go along with the storyline the kids are making up. The set comes with 39 pieces which is a minimal amount needed, IMO.The magnets attaching the pieces to the board are not overly strong which has it's pros and cons: its easy for the child to move the pieces around but also, the pieces slide around a bit too easily. The item will need a storage box or bag of some sort to keep it all together.The product would be a good one for travel and to take to Grandma's house. The $10 price point is fair but I wouldn't go any higher.

This is a cute reusable toy that can provide hours of fun. I do feel that the book size should be slightly bigger to better accommodate all of the pieces. I found myself having to carefully place each piece to be able to fit it all, something that a young child may find difficult to do.

This magnetic doll playset is fantastic! It folds out like a book with two sides to place the colorful magnets on. The magnet pieces are thick sturdy cardboard, easy for little hands to grip. The magnets are very colorful and fun. There are pretty dresses with mix & match tops & skirts and lots of festive accessories. The variety of magnets really encourages creativity. The magnets are easy to move around when decorating the 3 princesses & scenery, yet strong enough to stay on even when the book is upright. Clean up also becomes another fun game, as you fit the magnets back into their spots on the magnet page. It’s like doing a puzzle. The Magnet page stays put inside the book. It’s convenient that it is self-contained so perfect for travel. This magnet set is endlessly fun!

I was really excited to get this item because I had not seen a magnetic dress-up book in a while, it’s like paper dolls only the clothes don’t rip.So it arrived super fast and I immediately took it out to give it to my 3 year old who was equally thrilled to get it, and we started dressing the heck out of the princesses. Super fun!The book is hardcover and I loved the three princess looking girls to dress. The clothing and accessory choices were great, lots of different items to choose from, and they are thick enough that little toddler hands can easily pick them up. I read a review somewhere stating that these always have a strong plastic smell, I definitely disagree. There was absolutely no smell.I didn’t like that there was no place to store the pieces when they were not being used. We tried putting them all on the pages, but as soon as I closed the book they all fell out. The magnetic response is just not there, there’s next to nothing holding these items to the pages which was disappointing for storage reasons, but they have enough of a magnet to stick to the dolls perfectly so it’s really just storing the whole thing that’s an issue. I ended up sewing a simple pouch that closes with Velcro to hold all of the pieces, that I glued it to the back of the book- worked perfectly. It’s a cute set was made with quality materials, it’s engaging and fun, and helps toddlers with their dexterity. Don’t let the storage thing stop you from ordering this awesome set!
