Received a product with either dirt or fog good down near the latch attachment where the plastic part holds the rope together. It’s a beautiful product & it’s a lovely color. However, it arrived dirty & with over a dozen small snags in the leash/rope. So either it was made with damaged product or somebody had a mouthy dog get hold of it. Idk. I purchased this bc I learned it was a small business & as a former small business owner I like to support them at every chance. This item is going back bc of the shape it arrived in. The product itself appears to be quality made which is annoying to need to return it bc it is quite lovely and has a decent heft to it which I’ll need with my Great Pyrenees. Sadly, I have issues with the design of the matching collar as it it does not lie flat tho it is absolutely quality made & quality product. Just a serious design issue for me. I prefer that my leash and collars match so idk if I’ll order another one rn. Maybe later bc I do like to have a heavy duty spare with two service dogs, but as this arrived damaged it will not be this one. I also wish the hardware was about 1/4”-1-2” larger as some of my harnesses attach with two buckle rings around the dogs bodies and not just one buckle so a larger hardware piece is easier for this old lady to handle with arthritic hands. Overall tho: it’s a quality made product. I can’t ideal to the fabric involved bc mine arrived damaged & idk if it was from factory or a previously returned item. Tho the fact that it has a dozen snags does give me pause.

It’s a nice quality leash. The only thing that I don’t like so much is the twist lock carabiner. It can be a little bit of a pain to attach to the harness if you are trying to do it one handed while holding your dog with the other. A traditional spring clip would probably have been fine for what most people use these for. Overall I’d recommend this leash and brand though.

The metal components are definitely a plus and the weight is perfect. We purchased it in the Vermont Weekend color which is a rich wine red perfect for fall. Unfortunately it took our rambunctious 8-month pup less than 30 seconds to fray it where the metal and textile meet hence the 3-stars. However, we ordered another set for our other furkid and will see if it is a quality issue or a puppy issue :)
