Mackie srm15 class v everything seems solid and sounds good so far.The reason for the four stars is the pole mount. It is made out of plastic. This makes me question how long it takes before my pole goes through and punctures the speaker. For the 12, I see this viable, but it should have been metal, at least for the 15. It has two screws, so maybe it's removable and can get changed for metal in the future. We will see if Mackie cares.

Mackie SRM 15 V-class is absolutely awesome. This powered speaker has enough power to fill a small bar with beautiful clean sound. It's a nice touch to be able to connect to it via Bluetooth and be able to play music from phone when band isn't playing. I've used it with 4 different configurations (2 mic'd instruments from Mackie VLZ4, 8 mic'd instruments from Behringer x32 rack, a mic + guitar going directly into two inputs on the speaker, and bluetooth from phone) and have been happy with the sound with all of them. It's expensive compared to other powered speakers (seriously considered getting the 15" Mackie Thump), but we decided to splurge to get the extra 700W and we have been very happy with the sound. The speaker would be an excellent part of a venue sound reinforcement system, and also would be perfect for a solo performer using a guitar and mic in a coffee shop setting. So easy to set up. Just plug in to power, plug XLR or 1/4" cables in and you are good to go. I haven't tried out the speaker's mixing options, so can't comment on that but there is an on board mixer and it can be controlled with an app. We got the Mackie speaker pole to set it up off the ground, but it can be used as a floor wedge (the sides are cut in such a way that it can rest tilted up on the ground).When we were deciding what to get for sound reinforcement for our band's practice space we just wanted something that would work without too much hassle. We had been using a used power amp and passive speakers (that we got for really cheap) and the power amp finally gave out. To replace our power amp with something that would be adequate to power the speakers would've cost not much less than this speaker, the tone we are getting is better, and we can get more volume with this without the background garbage we were getting with the multitude of old speakers and driving the power amp to it's limit in bridged mode. We are pretty happy with this powered speaker...just wish it was a bit less expensive so we don't have to save up to buy another one.

I replaced my old Cerwin Vegas as they blew trying to reach my pool. I took a gamble on this new product that was so new there were no reviews yet . I am the first to say its amazing! I was tired of non commercial product. Just 1 15 is amazing from my patio to my pool. No amp, no speaker wires. Just plug in and oh my, the clarity and crisp bass. Very good value here and you will not be disappointed. Size wise, its more compact than my Cerwin 12s and has handles! The app and distance for control from my pool is crazy. Go Mackie!!!
