As soon as I saw this mask I just knew my adult son would love it. When he was a child, he was always dressing as Robocop, finding odds and ends around the house to give him that cyber look. I ordered it then gave it to him yesterday and I wasn't wrong - he loves it!This did take quite a while to arrive after ordered, roughly a month. It didn't come with directions so it took me some time to figure it out - but I'll share what I know here. Most helpful are the photos on Amazon's website, especially the one labeled "mask accessories" so I printed this out along with the photographs for my son to see how it should work. Finding the charging ports and switches on the lamps was the most perplexing - but I got there in the end. The charging port is on the back of each lamp but you have to pull up a tiny, rectangular rubber cover to find it. According to the photo, there's a button on the side of the lamp to control it; however, it's not on the side, it's a tiny button the front. Depending on weather you long press or short press the button, you can control how the lights on the lamps flicker as mentioned on the "mask accessories" photo. In order to charge the lamps, you have to use the included usb cords. They are very short cords so you need to remove the lamps to charge them. The lamps are held in place by these gasket looking rubber bands on each side (they do include a few extra) so you have to slip off the bands to remove the lamps. I charged all of them but there was really no way to tell when they were finished charging - all I know is that I left them charging for about 2 hours and they all turned on when I pressed the switch on the front. I have no idea how long these will stay charged. The round circle of light on the front of the mask is powered by a single battery inside the mask near the chin area. I'm not sure why the mask needs two sources of power (battery and usb) but included are two of these batteries. There's a switch by the battery to turn on the circle light. It is nice to get extra accessories should something not work or break (extra lamp and usb cord, extra battery, extra bands); otherwise, once these fail it might be difficult to replace some of them. When I put it all back together and turned on all of the lamps, I tried it on myself. Depending on the light in the room, it's a bit difficult to see though the black plastic. If in a dark room, it's even more difficult to see; so, if you have this in mind for a child at halloween then crossing streets and doing stairs could be hazardous if dark outside. All in all, everything worked and this mask went over really well with my son. I am even willing to bet that he'll be wearing it at his next halloween party.

This is light weight, good straps, very bright LEDS and does a good job at obscuring your features. When the ring LEDs are on you can see a logo in the center. It is powered by a battery I have not seen before but they give you 2 of them. I imagine it will last a long time especially since I won't be using this every day. The Red and blue ones on the side are USB rechargeable, and come with cables, but it is really hard to keep the cables in place to get the charge to the lights. The cheap cables that came with them I could not even get some of them into their sockets and had to use some better cables I had at home. There is an extra red light provided so you have 2 red and 2 blue and you can swap them out as they are attached with rubber bands. Yes, rubber bands. They are decent rubber bands, black, and they provide extras. The mask does not cover the full head, but instead they provide a matching head sock to put on under the mask. This is not a helmet. The view is a little obstructed, but has a pretty good field of view, the problem is that the smoky plastic makes it hard to see in light that is not that bright. If you are going to a dimly lit club, or a convention, you may have problems and would want a spotter. All in all it is not a bad mask. The provide a bunch of stuff to make it better. Extra lights, extra rubber bands, anti-fog treatment, and a tool that you can use to take parts off if you want, and a head sock to help completer the look.

What a weird mask helmet thingy. It came with extra red flashing lights. I will say that it was annoy8ng to locate batteries for these. They were tiny versions of aaa.. I think they call them N size. Wish it would have included them. The helmet mask worked for a rave I went to.... it got attention for sure.
