Saves a fortune on deli type meat and no preservatives or chemicals!! Easy to use and clean. If you are a DIY'er and wants to take some control over what goes in your body this is for you .

I didn't make ham in it. I used it to make mock meat in. Seitan. Did a good job. Takes a bit to get it fully cooked in the middle, but it was worth it.

I like that I can make my own lunch meat, but on my first time , I didn’t pay attention to the spring plate that keeps the meat packed down inside and had the screw part into the meat instead of up towards the lid.. so I had to screw it out of the meat which made the whole thing fall apart instead of slicing it into luncheat.. you also need to make sure you fill it and not just half way or the thermometer won’t reach it, but it wasn’t and Fahrenheit, it was in Celsius.. so it was useless anyways for me.

This came with no instructions for use so I haven’t even gotten a chance to use it because I need to find instructions for a similar product from another brand to figure out how to use it properly. Additionally, the temperature on the thermometer is only in Celsius, so I’m going to have to do the math to figure out what the safe temperature range is. This was priced pretty much the same as most other comparable products, so I would expect instructions for use, assembly, and cleaning as well as a thermometer that reads both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Very disappointing.
