This is a really nice kit. Lightweight but sturdy enough. Very bright. Easy to assemble, though, admittedly it does take some thinking…instructions are not very helpful. They’re really more of an inventory list than instructions, but at the most simple configuration you’re just putting together hexagons so the connectors guide that process passively. (The configuration flexibility this kit offers to customize the layout is really nice too; like if you want a larger or more complicated layout. I just used a basic layout, but I’m impressed that this expands so easily.)One thing to note when assembling…At least one connector must be left open to accept the plug. The instructions don’t explain this. Just decide early where your closest power source will be to the assembled lamp, and leave one side of a connector open. Also, the pins on the male plug unit may require a little squeeze from some needle-nose pliers to get them to align and connect with female receptacle.Lastly, get a bulb-socket-to-outlet converter to use in your garage door opener. Needs to be a three-prong/grounded unit. The local home improvement store likely won’t have this, so search Amazon. However, this will then allow the opener unit to turn on and off the light.

Literally my only complaint about these lights are the ends of each individual stick tend to come out if you need to take them apart.

I bought 2 units of this product for my garage workspace. PROs, lights up well my garage for the price.cons, flimsy plastic can be easy to crack at joints and lens, the 2 package recieved were not identical in installation hardware. one package is easy install with screws to joints and the other package was white push pins and individual mounting bracket which I really didnt like for the unneccessary time wasted to assemble. i found the mounting hardware was not enough and purchased additional U brackets to secure with butterfly ancors

Look great, we plan to get one or two more! First box did not have the extra wire power cord and zip ties. Still look great though. For a few more bucks maybe add something for mounting?
