I installed a light in my garage to provide extra illumination because the light on my garage door opener is not sufficient. I had to mount the light on the ceiling and use an extension cord to connect it to a switch for turning it on and off. The light itself does not come with an on/off switch and the cord is too short. This powerful light provides ample brightness to my one-car garage. I also use it when I am doing laundry since my washer and dryer are located in the garage. It makes it easier to see if I have dropped any clothing between the appliances.

This task/work light is extremely bright and diffuses light a good ways to help light up your work area. The housing seems sturdy and the swivel action of the two mounting plates is easy to use. Both plates slide into the body and can be positioned as needed. They can then be secured in place on the body with a small set screw and included Allen wrench. The swivel is controlled by a larger screw that is hand tightenable or larger Allen wrench driven. Note this wrench is NOT included.My biggest complaint is the fact that there is no on/off switch for this light, and the cord is only like 2 feet long. I get that a switch on the body is impractical, given it will be mounted high and likely out of reach, but a longer cord with integrated switch would be great here. I will be looking for an extension cord with such a switch, and I'm sure it will all set up fine, just wish we had the option for a longer integrated cord. All in all a good, bright light, as long as you know you'll likely need an extension AND a way to turn it on and off.
