I was in the middle of a job replacing the seat belts in my van and I could not get a wrench on a bolt. Well I could, get an open ended wrench on it, but with the nut just so, I couldn't break it loose as there was no room to turn the wrench. These ratcheting wrenches did the trick for me. They have a 5 degree swing which was just enough to move the lever and break the bolt loose.I'm a DIY mechanic so I don't need professional quality tools, but if a tool breaks while I am working on something and breaks that as well, I end up paying a pro to fix it. Hence I buy the best I can afford for a job. I own a couple of other Wiha wrenches that have served me well, so I looked at these as a good option. And I am not disappointed. When they the wrenches came, I had the nut off in a jiffy. And now I wonder why I waited to buy ratcheting wrenches so long. I did look at those elbow ratcheting wrenches but the reviews indicated I might not be able to apply as much force. These wrenches are flat, ie no offset which for the job I did worked out well. I have had wrenches with those tiny levers to change direction and invariably I bump it, or junk gets on it and it doesn't work quite right. Simpler mechanism seems better in this case. The finish is nice, my only complaint was out of the box the 8mm was stuck and didn't ratchet. Some elbow grease and time and now it's as smooth as the others. Also I carry my tools in my van... because that's where I am going to need them, so the case is useless. Probably works well if you have one of those garage sized rolling tool boxes. I ended up buying a tool roll.[Update 1] Ok, after owning these wrenches for a couple of months, I can say that for me, I would have been better off buying a set of flex head ratchet wrenches as there are more places I wish I could use these wrenches with the ratchet box end, but I can't swing it because there isn't clearance. Nothing against these wrenches, just that for me, I am now buying the a set of long arm flex hex head boxratchets.[Update 2] I sold these to buy a set of Milwaukee Flex head ratchet wrenches I like better. Nothing really wrong with these, but I only need one set and the flex head ones' are better.
