Works great, very ergonomic and have not had any durability/reliability issues with daily use in a bike shop. Other reviews mention issues with the mechanism seizing which I can only assume is from misuse or improper care/storage. It is an excellent ratchet for the money, although I do prefer the 1/4 version for the small fasteners I work with (may be my favorite ratchet I’ve ever used)

after a few months, the direction lever becomes seized and the only procedure for correction is whacking it against concrete. Then it operates freely until it's put away for a day.Shame, because otherwise the slim profile and light weight design is nice.

The Utoku ratchet was ordered for use in my workshop and around or home. This is a 3/8 inch ratchet wrench with 90 teeth. I tested it with some Craftsman sockets and all of the sockets fit snugly on the wrench. Also, the product description indicates the wrench is "30% less weight and thickness than ordinary wrenches". The wrench was weighed and compared to a similar Craftsman wrench. The Utoku wrench weighed 208 grams and the Craftsman weighed 290 grams. The Utoku wrench is almost exactly 30% lighter. When tested with the sockets it performed effectively with no issues in removing a nut. However, there are 2 issues for which I felt like the product should be reduced by at least 2 stars. First, the handle felt odd in my hand. It looks like the tools weight reduction is taken from the product by making 2 larger metal grooves with one on each side of the handle. When held, the handle did not feel comfortable because of the groove structure. The second issue is a manufacturing defect that should not happen in a quality tool. The groove on one side of the handle has a metal burr that is very sharp. I did not notice the defect until testing the wrench when I drug my finger across the burr and was stabbed by the burr. The burr was removed with a file. That is totally an unacceptable defect on a metal tool.BOTTOM LINE: The ratchet was effective in removing nuts. However, it had 1 minor issue and 1 major defect that cannot be overlooked. If one is going to purchase this ratchet, check the tool for metal burrs. I would not order it again.

Sometimes when you are working in tight spaces, it is impossible to get to certain bolts with a full size wrench. This slim ratchet has made some of these jobs possible for me. It is said to be 30% lighter than an ordinary wrench and when compared to my other wrench, it does feel to be pretty accurate. My sockets fit on it nicely and it is easy to adjust the direction of the ratchet. 5 stars from me as I am happy with this product.
