Great for pulling hoses.However, please BE CAREFUL. These pullers are sharp enough to pierce hoses, especially on older vehicles. Had a co-worker accidentally pierce a heater hose using these when replacing a water pump on a customer’s work van. Small enough leak that no one knew what happened until the owner brought it back to the shop days later. As you can probably imagine, the guy was not happy. Again, great tools but BE CAREFUL.

I have needed a good set of large picks, seems you always need to poke or snag or occasionally even remove a hose. The handles on these are OK, not great but they are smaller so it does make it easier to reach down into the guts of a tight engine compartment. The picks themselves are perfect, heavy gauge metal that is not going to bend or even flex with hard use.

I'm not a huge fan of the handles, but the picks are nice, plenty strong, great for those stubborn hoses! Lisle makes pretty decent stuff usually.
