The flashlight is not waterproof, nor is it usable outside of the rubber designed case.. As you can see, one you take the flashlight out of the case, there is no rubber covers over anything.. So while yes, it can be used outside of it, it is not advisable.I fully charged it up and then ran it on high until the battery ran down.. If i remember right, since it was over a month ago that I tested it (listing was down so i could not put a review up until now), the flashlight ran on high for about 6 hours before the brightness started to diminish enough that it was noticeable that it was not as bright..Brightness is decent enough to use for most all people.. One thing to note.. Even at the lowest brightness, it will still make you see spots if you flash it in someones eyes, so it is best not to do it.To turn the brightness up or down, you simply turn the flashlight on, and then after it is on, hold the power button down.. As it is held down, the brightness will start to dim until it is at the lowest setting.. Then, to make it brighter, just hold the button back down again, and it will get brighter.. Very simple to use..The snap part to attach it to something is strong enough to hold under normal use, but yet still easy enough to take apart to get it off of something.. Very child friendly..I have had no problems with it up to date, so no complaints there..It charges via a USB cable, so no need to replace batteries..Overall, I have no complaints about it.

At first, I was disappointed because the flashlight was so bright I didn't want to give it to my toddler. But then, I actually read the instructions, which describe how you can hold the power button down and it will dim the light of the flashlight down so it's safer for children. My daughter loves her little crocodile flashlight, and more importantly I don't end up "losing' my flashlights anymore. I also like the fact that it's USB-C, and not the older/cheaper style mini USB. Overall a nice device

Such a fun flashlight for kids! It’s soft to the touch, bright enough and you can actually tie the light to your kids wrist. The kids absolutely love this and there is a flashing setting that makes it fun but not like a strobe. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add some light when the kids are playing in the dark!

Great simple design with just two lighting modes: on and blink. Not super bright or concentrated but good enough for kiddies.Super cute with smooth soft silicone material. The little ridges on the crocodile's back are nice sensory accents and add some grip at the same time. Being rechargeable makes it easy to use constantly and the wrist loop design is great to keep hold of it.
