This is a review of “Yupola Portable Camping Lights 14000mAh,Led Working Light Rechargeable with Stand,Cordless Outdoor Camping Lantern Waterproof,Hangable Tent Lights,Perfect for Camping,Working,Home Emergency Light.”. I’m including the item name to help guard against any future review hijacking.I’m a fan overall of this LED light. It fulfills the promise of providing portable, long-lasting illumination. It’s designed for light-duty outdoor usage, and it includes everything you need for that purpose. Notably, the tripod can be staked down with the included stakes so that it doesn’t tip over in winds, and you even get a remote control.I can’t verify whether it really does run for 15 hours on the highest setting, but it’s long enough that I didn’t run out of battery during my testing. All rechargeable batteries deteriorate with use, but you still should be able to get a useful few hours out of the light even after a couple of years, and the highest setting is bright enough that you won’t mind avoiding it in the name of better battery life.As for whether it’s worth the full retail price of $90 as of the time of review in early March 2025, I wouldn’t say it is. Build quality is not what I’d expect at that price point, much less at the over $100 at which this light was initially priced. In other words, while all the parts are there and they all work as intended, parts that should be metal aren’t, and the metal parts are thin sheet metal. And of course, it doesn’t do USB-C PD in power bank mode.On the other hand, I think the build quality is forgivable if you can get it at enough of a discount. As of the time of review, it’s effectively around $65 after coupons and such, which I consider on the high side of reasonable. I suspect most buyers will use something like this only a few times a year, and it will get you through the occasional camping trip or blackout just fine.

My primary interest in this light is to light a room during power outages. It provides a LOT of light, 4000 lumens! It's nice that there are so many ways it can be customized, but this will most likely be used exclusively on a tabletop inside the house. I love that it doesn't require batteries and can be recharged. I especially appreciate that it also serves as a power bank for recharging phones and other devices. I think it's a little pricy, but worthwhile for what it offers. I recommend.

When extended this thing is about 5 feet tall! Now, they say that the brightness of each of the four lights is 1,000 lumens at maximum, and that using all four of them at maximum can produce 4,000 lumens. And well, I told that to someone and they said that brightness didn't work like that. So I went and investigated it and as it turns out, it DOES work that way.It has a battery with a capacity of 14,000mAh, which can last for about 15 hours on the brightest brightness setting, and about 80 hours on the lowest brightness setting. And it of course comes with a charging cable with a USB-C connection on one end and a regular USB-A connection on the other end. It doesn't come with a little power brick, but that's pretty standard with things that are rechargeable like this. It also doesn't come with a power bank feature, meaning that it can't charge any other devices. Which I happen to be glad about, because I've always thought that kind of defeats the purpose of having a portable light like this. I mean, charging other devices would make it so that the light doesn't last long at all. Oh, and before I forget, the remote control DOES come with a battery in it.Now for the downsides. It only charges at a rate of 5V---2a, which is 10 watts. So it takes about 5 hours to fully charge. Technology has been out for years now that can charge batteries at 20 watts, 100 watts, and even higher in some cases. It just would be nice for lights like this to start being able to charge at rates like that. Information was available that let me know how long it took to charge this light before I ordered it though, which is why I haven't reduced my rating.Aside from that, the base is kind of hard to get open. And the four lights are REALLY hard to get open. Well, it's trying to get the first one open that's difficult. At least for me it is. I honestly can't get it open without using something to pry it open. But that's not that big of a deal. I'd rather the lights to be hard to open than them not want to stay closed.Alright so, one last thing. Regarding the electrical certifications, under one of the four lights is a sticker stating the certifications that this has. Now, I'm no expert, but in my experiences with getting electronic devices, when I know for sure that they have legitimate electrical certifications (when it's a device from big brands like Sony or Samsung or Anker), there's always a piece of instructions that's dedicated to explaining the certifications. And it will have a section called the, "Declaration of Conformity," as well as another section called, "FCC Statement." Yet, the instructions for this light don't have anything like that in them. Based on what I've learned from researching this so far though, a Declaration of Conformity is mandatory for all products covered by one or more 'CE marking' directives.Ah well, I still don't know what to make of all of that really... What I can say for sure though, is that so far this light works great and it seems to be well made.
