I wish I'd gotten these glasses years ago. With these I no longer have to swap between tinted and clear safety glasses while using the acetylene torch at work. In full comfort and protection you can light, set and use your torch and once you shut it down, flip up the dark lens and see what your doing clearly. Great for all sorts of torch work like loosening, cutting, bending and brazing. They are NOT dark enough for welding. Use proper welding gear for those applications.

I'm working on some extremely bright LED projects, working with some 200W COB LED's capable of 30,000+ lumens of output. Was definitely going to get severe eye damage without protective eyewear. Sunglasses just weren't cutting it, I was still seeing bright spots several minutes after glancing at them. With these glasses, I can look directly at the LED for a few minutes, take temperature measurements, and I'll see a spot for a few seconds.These are at least 2.5 shades darker than sunglasses, but they are a green tint, like welding glasses. Not really usable as sunglasses, and almost a bit to dark to use indoors. You can simply flip up the shaded portion to reveal regular safety glasses. Perfect for working in a shop.For my needs they work perfectly. Safety glasses, and glasses that are much darker than sunglasses. Great for working with very bright LED's
