Stay away from these fixtures. No idea how it is possible that other reviewers can say that they are good quality. I bought 8 of these to go around the outside of my house. After unboxing three of them and each time finding some critical issue, I gave up, called Amazon and arranged for a return of all 8 (we had to ask for an exception to their return deadline because the lights were in storage for several months while we finished our reno). Read the other negative reviews and you will see a trend: 1) the plastic with which the socket is constructed is brittle and the tabs that hold it together easily snap. 2) The threads on the neck are poor and easily strip. In two cases I could just slip the tube onto the threads. Without being able to properly thread the pieces together, the light falls apart. These threads were already rusty, too, suggesting that, were I to successfully install these outside, the whole fixture will biodegrade in short order. 3) The mounting plate/system is ridiculous. In Canada, you are supposed to mount lights to a proper fixture box. These units are designed to screw directly to a wall using wall plugs. The holes and slots provided on the mounting plate don't properly align with the screws on a fixture box. Add to this the fact that the screws that are supposed to go from the mounting plate through the fixture and connect to the little black nuts, are too short. You have to either put spacers behind the mounting plate or find longer screws. The only good thing I can say is that Amazon has excellent customer service and has offered a full refund, including delivery. These products unfortunately represent the worst of the "Made In China" throwaway junk. Still thinking of buying them? You Lose.

I purchased this with the matching pendant light. It is great quality and easy to install. It is a matt black finish with metal shade. The perfect piece to give my kitchen an industrial style. I highly recommend this seller. I contacted them with a concern on another product and they responded very quickly and sent out a part to me at no cost. They work hard to make sure you are 100% satisfied.
