Pretty good cover, but has a sort-of matte finish. I might give it a little spritz of some clear semi-gloss paint so it has a little sheen...not yet decided. Possibly some neutral shoe polish then buffed to a shine might work...Hmmm...I'll give it some thought. It doesn't quite match the sheen of other leather bound book spines. Alternatively, I might just hot glue an actual leather cover on it from another old bible. Paper edges are very realistic looking. Safe is small. It is 6.5 inches by 3.8 inches by 1.4 inches. I spent a ridiculous amount of time on Grok and ChatGPT and it turns out that the maximum number of US currency bills that will fit in that space is 441...but you have to individually fold them in half so that the short ends of the bills touch, crease the fold flat, and stack them into two stacks side by side. If you don't want to go through that precise folding and instead just want to toss in one bundle unfolded and flat, the space will hold approximately 325 US currency bills in a single stack. The lock mechanism operates smoothly and the 3 digit code is more than adequate because realistically, anyone intent on stealing it isn't going to sit there fumbling with 1,000 possible combinations one by one...they would just grab the whole thing and take it with them. Overall the product is pretty good and does an above average job of concealment. Compared to making one on your own with a real book and a razor knife, it is a real time saver.

💫💫💫💫💫 5 star review on design and look! Great product for small valuables. My issue was not being able to fit enough money in it. 10k in $100 bills, will not fit. My wife and I have a cash savings for emergencies and I had to get a different version. If it was designed different, with more room, it's definitely 5 stars 🌟

It has actual paper pages so that even when you pick it up you think it's a real book. It's a beautiful cover design not the greatest book safe you'd ever want to get as far as being able to break into it but then again all of them are pretty much easy to get into. But the way this thing looks and feels with the real pages you got a much better chance of them overlooking it and not thinking twice about it being something that is not.

I used this to put a gift certificate in for Christmas! It was a great way to present a gift certificate and you get a cute book safe to go along with it. My niece absolutely loved it, almost more than the gift certificate! Lol

Perfect...fits in with my Parisian decor! I think I will purchase the dictionary safe too! Who's picking a dictionary nowadays?
