I was expecting something a bit different when I ordered this 4 Pack of Cat Litter Box Pee Shields. The illustration on the product page was a bit misleading.These are much the same as other pee shields I’ve tried. They are just flat sheets of odorless plastic. They come with a double sided adhesive to fasten to the inside edge of the litter box. That arrangement just does not work with my cats, who seem to think it is their job to pull the shields loose! Fastening them to the inside of the box also makes cleaning the box harder and messier. The frosted plastic has just enough texture that wet litter can stick and dry.I ended up using these as I use the other shields, I tape one to the wall with the bottom edge hanging over the inside edge of the back of the box. They work fairly well that way.

Our family has a free-roaming, litter box trained rabbit. He can't use simple (read: shallow) litter boxes because sometimes bun bun is a little jerk and likes to pee over the edge. We thought we'd found the solution in using a deeper litter box for him, but he outsmarted us by peeing out the entry cutout. We'd been blocking it with stray squares of cardboard, but they also absorb or bend and have to be discarded. This is exactly what we needed to block that hole in the wall! Four sheets of plastic is an ample amount for any pet owner to cut to the needed size(s) and double-sided tape is included so that you can create a connected wall around multiple sides. This could also be a good inexpensive solution to a short litter box, especially since the deeper once cost significantly more.
