My old one had a broken arm on the top hinge so ice kept falling out when pressed. I just had to unscrew the lever on the old ice maker lever/button and install the new one, reusing the spring. DON'T lose this little spring. Good as new. Saved $$ on calling a repairman, and easy to do it yourself. The hardest part was carefully prying out the unit from the door.

Part arrived quick and in excellent condition. Perfect for my LG lmx28988st. No problems putting it in. Took all of 5 minutes after a YouTube video. Old part on the left was broken and the new part is in the right. Company wasn’t sure if it would work for my model but it was an exact match. Now my friend wants his fixed since he has the same issue. I might just have to go into business for myself. Lol.
