15-Amp SmartlockPro Self-Test GFCIs with Guide Light
Testing a GFCI is a good way to verify that it is providing protection. While all GFCIs should be tested monthly, users often forget to conduct this test on a regular basis. Now there is a technology available that can supplement the manual testing and regularly conduct an automatic test of the circuit. In June of 2015 there was a revision to the UL (Underwriters Laboratory) standard 943 for Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupters that improves safety for the end-user by requiring GFCI manufacturers to integrate an auto-monitoring (self-test) feature that performs a periodic test to confirm that the GFCI can respond to a ground-fault and, if not, it must visually and/or audibly indicate to the user that it needs to be replaced.

Auto-Monitoring: By conducting an internal test to confirm that the GFCI is providing protection, the SmartlockPro Self-Test GFCIs offer an added layer of protection from electrical shocks due to hazardous ground-faults.
If, during a self-test, the GFCI detects a problem, one or more of the following will occur:
- Power will be denied (trip with the inability to reset).
- Trip with the ability to reset, subject to the next auto-monitoring test cycle or repeatedly trip.
- Visual and/or audible indication (Audible indication with the Leviton GFTA1/GFTA2 Audible Self-test GFCI).
Patented Reset Lockout: The Reset Lockout feature prevents the GFCI from being reset if it is damaged and cannot respond to a ground fault. Older model GFCIs may allow reset even if they are no longer providing protection. In addition, power will be denied if the line and load wires are reversed during installation.
LED Indicators: LED indictors on the device face provide simple, intuitive feedback on power and protection status.
Guide Light Improves Home Safety
The dual LED guide light functions as a night light without the loss of outlet space. By responding to ambient light and illuminating when a room darkens the LED guide lights add an element of safety to the space by lighting the way. With strategically placed LED lights on both sides of the device face the lights are visible even with a variety of plugs or transformers plugged in. It is the ideal solution for bathrooms, kitchens, children’s rooms, hallways and hospitality guest suites.

The slim design takes up to 25 percent less space in the wall box making it easy to install in electrical boxes, even older shallow boxes. External back wire clamps allow for visual confirmation of proper clamping. I purchased a 3-pack of these GFCI Outlets with Night Light because of the Night Light features. Only one of them installed by my electrician worked. Because I ordered them before my project began, I missed the return window. I thought Leviton was a good product but I am very disappointed.

Es un excelente producto, muy buena calidad pero no incluye la tapa como lo presentan en las fotos del anuncio, deberían incluirlo aunque suba un poco más el precio ya que estar comprando todo por separado no es lo ideal.

I love this brand and got 20 years out of my old ones before the outlets got loose from years plugging blow dryers, irons, shavers etc. into the sockets . These are GFNL/GFCI to prevent shocks in wet areas near bathrooms sink.These have dual built-in LED night lights. The sensors turn off/on automatically and provide a nice glow of light in a master bathroom without being blinding or too harsh. I especially love not having to use up the socket space with external nightlights.I got the black receptacles and paired with stainless plates. The LEDs are on the cooler/bluer end of the spectrum for a modern contemporary look. There was a little difficulty installing because we had 3 outlets on one circuit and had to play around with it. It's fine now and love it!

Looks great. Saves my family from having to turn on the lights in the middle of the night. Brightens up the hallways making easy to navigate in the dark.

These are very bright LEDs. They are not “warm” color and come off more blue (not too blue). We have them in our kitchen around the counter and they look sharp. Great light at night when you’re making your way into the kitchen and don’t want to turn on all the lights to make you go blind.
