This is really worth the price for me because my hands work badly and it saves manoeuvring pans of boiling water. I was using packs of microwave rice to avoid being scalded which works out pretty costly so it will pay for itself fairly quickly. It makes good rice with very little fuss and doesn't occupy much space.

Le llevo usando poco pero me vale para saber q me gusta este producto.Ten en cuanta que son unos 12 minutos para un arroz para tres. Yo he usado bomba y vaporizado. Queda suelto el arroz. Una de las veces eché pimentón y curry y también quedo bien. No abulta mucho espacio. Y de precio fue en oferta y fueron 19 euros. Salen de vez en cuando así q si no te corre prisa, échalo en el carro y ve mirando el precio.

I bought this product as a possible Christmas gift for my kids at university. It is essentially a thin plastic pot with a perforated lid that doubles as a sieve - nothing fancy! It claims to cook e.g., 240g rice in 13 minutes at 800W without the need for stirring (or attention).I tried it! It doesn't work! The rice was seriously undercooked and soggy (too much water). I tried longer cooking times, and found it takes about 20 minutes to cook the rice through - just like in any other pot. No surprise here, rice doesn't care how the water is heated. The only way to cook rice faster is a pressure cooker.I also found that one cannot reduce the amount of water to the usual 1:2 ratio. If you do, the rice burns quickly, reliably and thoroughly. Thus, there is no alternative to soggy rice. You must always use too much water and discard the surplus at the end. You may be able to avoid burning by fiddling with the energy after 10-15 minutes. But then, the 'no attention' argument is gone, and you can use a regular pot right away.If you use the flimsy lid as a sieve to siphon off excess water, you risk burning your fingers. In summary, it is a disappointing, oversold, rather useless dust collector taking up precious space in my kitchen. I would never bother my kids with it.It may work for other grains, but I haven't tested it.
