I bought these for my child's pre-school class. They arrived in well packaged, and the box in which the magnifiers are in converts to a stand to hold them. This is a convenient plus for the classroom. The magnifiers come in a variety of primary colors and are the perfect size for small hands. They have a large surface area and handle. There is a built-in stand that allows the user to flip the magnifier upside down and balance it. (It looks sort of like an upside down "Y.") This is great for small children who are still developing their dexterity and cannot coordinate holding an item and a magnifier at the same time. The stand allows them to set up the magnifier and then slide an item behind it to examine it through the magnifier (similar to a microscope). The magnifiers are made of a durable material and have held up well to the rough play and use of pre-schoolers. Achtung! Dieser Artikel entspricht nicht der Beschreibung!!! In der Beschreibung steht, dass es sich um ein 12-er Set Lupen handelt- geliefert wird eine!!! Für den Preis unglaublich teure Plastiklupe die leider zurückgeht!

Argh....si seulement j'avais pris le temps de lire les commentaires...........Pareil : commandé en pensant recevoir un lot de 12 pieces, de 6 couleurs différentes (c'est écrit dans le descriptif) et je reçois une loupe bleue............remboursée 2euros par Amazon..............

wouldn't be without this product for babies, toddlers and older explorers. over time and with heavy use (and they do get heavy use as children use them constantly and with great imagination!) the lens may get a little scratched but the price is reasonable enough for them to be replaced after a year or so in a nursery or childcare setting. The stands are useful for older children to examine particular objects. Babies are fascinated by the views of faces and eyes and toddlers are delighted and fascinated to explore indoors and outdoors, textures, patterns, print and detail in natural and manufactured materials - cognitive skills are greatly enhanced and the natural curiosity of young children is stimulated by this essential piece of sturdy, well designed and fairly priced equipment. if you are caring for more than one child make sure you purchase several for your budding scientists.
