I purchased this for my son as his old one was worn and needed replaced. This was a great price. I purchased it for swimming lessons as it's COLD water in the indoor pool and my son is always freezing. I went by the size chart and it fits. Not so snug that it's hard to get on but not too loose either. A little room to wiggle/grow. I would add that my son is SMALL for his age. Like 10th percentile for height and weight isn't a lot higher percentile-wise so if your child isn't super slim I would suggest sizing up.

Materials are nice - no skunky smell or tire smell which is something that I often run into with some of these more affordable wetsuits. Good thickness for body boarding in the Pacific too.Though wetsuits are supposed to be a snug fit to work right, I think this one runs a bit small. I got the 11-12 for my average sized 10 year old and it fits perfectly. He's 50th% for weight and height, so I thought this was something he'd start wearing regularly next year, but it's something I think he might grow out of by next year especially if he gets a tween growth spurt. The neck goes a little higher than we're used to with his other wetsuits, so he did have a bit of chafing after his first wear in the waves. I know that happens with a lot of high end wetsuits too, so I think we'll just have to try a rash guard, body glide or some kind of protective tape around the neck area. Other than that, no complaints. He was comfortable temp-wise in cool Pacific waves for hours and felt comfortable in it all day.

I’d intended this to be for my son who is an average sized 9 year old and purchased the appropriate size (9-10) following their ordering guide. Unfortunately, this was way too small for him. However, our 8 year old fit into it well so we’ll still get some use out of it. She is just less into water sports than him.The quality seems good, the zipper slides easily and with the long handle she was able to get it on my herself with no problem. It’s not the thickest wetsuit we own but is as described in the listing and should help to extend the Minnesota skiing/wakeboarding season a couple more weeks at least.I’ll still give it 5 stars because the product seems to be of good quality but be aware that you might need to step up a size from what is listed. It’d be nice if the dimensions they had listed showed what was being measured. Ie - length 28 the overall length of the wetsuit? And it’d be nice if the measurements were easier to translate to my child, like height instead of having to guess how far down the shorts part goes if I’m try to measure 28” on my kid.
