Used these to go with a gift set for a group of girls. They all loved them and are good quality notebooks.

I bought these to use as sketch books to bring with me when I don’t want to carry something larger and heavier. Recently, I had to go to the laundromat for w months to wash clothes. I brought one of these books with me. Used a fine point black marker for sketching, but a ball point pen would work, too. I can see using these books for themed drawings. Sketches for future projects,

My kiddo loves to color blank pages with crayons and these books are perfect. They fit in my pocket or my purse so they are easy to bring to a restaurant or on the plane.

This set has 24 convenient sized well-made little notebooks suitable for general notetaking and sketching out ideas The paper is fairly lightweight with a very smooth finish. I found it to work very well with most of the media I use every day. The smooth finish did not make my gel pens skip or jump and didn’t have any fuzzy fibers to clog them - which I really appreciate. Alcohol inks bleed through the page readily, as they do with most papers, so it’s nice that the set had a little promotional postcard (with a glow-in-the-dark emblem on it) to put between pages. And while the alcohol inks did absorb into the page and were visible on the reverse side, they didn’t feather around the edges, so I’m quite happy with their performance on this paper.The paper will handle a very light brush over with water with a bit of warping but without rapid fraying and tearing. It’s definitely not a watercolor style paper, but depending on personal tolerance to a little paper rippling - it could handle a little dab of water based media here and there. I didn’t have water-based markers on hand to test those, but judging from how gel pens performed, I would think that standard water-based markers with a light touch would generally work reasonably well for most people.The paper has minimal tooth, but it took the pencils that I tried quite nicely and I liked the smooth finish. Where the paper really most impressed me though was with basic plain children’s crayons. The color transferred without any roughness and gave beautiful strong color payout. I could easily see using these notebooks for urban sketching with just a fine liner and a small pack of plain crayons. Or maybe with a handful of high-end artist crayons, because they looked beautiful on the paper as well.I like the small size, and the fact that they have just enough pages, but not too many. I find it easier to be creative when I know I can always just toss a sketchbook if things are going really bad. Same with journaling and habit tracking. Little notebooks like these, especially in such cheerful colors, are welcoming without being overwhelming. It’s going to take me a while to go through all 24 of these, but when I do, I will purchase another set.
