The ultraviolet lamp works very well. It is lightweight and easy to move from room to room. It comes with glasses to protect your eyes and a remote control. I got this to rid my home of any cat odors. I feel it works pretty good and love this better as it is a one time cost versus buying expensive urine removal sprays. The bulb should last a long time as it is only ran a couple times a month. I placed all my animals in the bedroom while the ultraviolet light ran, got to make sure no living animals are in the room that you run this in. I could smell the ozone smell once it turned off and we opened the doors for a bit. My home smells wonderful again and I am so thankful for this sterilizer. I would totally recommend if you have any problems with pet odors. Thank you!

This is a very well-made quality product. It is difficult to tell if it works because of the micron size and visibility, but it does give a good sense of security when someone or something has come into your space. It is very easy to use and very bright. I just set it in the middle of the room and use the remote to turn it on before I shut the door. I will also turn it on at night before going to bed in rooms that are used regularly throughout the day. This ultraviolet germicidal lamp does a great job lighting up the whole room. It did come with sunglasses and I’m not sure if they’re special, but I don’t take any chances of being in the room or letting anybody else be in the room while it is running. It does turn off automatically, which is very nice. I could see this being a very beneficial thing in a Sr home,classroom or daycare, even in an office break room. I have seen coffee cups that cost more than this life saving device.. I think this is a great price point.

The downside to this is there is a safety concern when using. You must leave the room during, 15-60 minutes, and ventilate the room for 40 additional minutes. Not practical to use indoors during the winter since you have to open a window (it’s below freezing where I live). When using remove plants or any other living thing from the room, and shut the door. It’s good for infrequent use, when you have to really deep clean a room. It will get rid of bad smells like cat pee.

I'm not too worried about contaminants in my home, as I use other air cleaners, but figured with the amount of time I spend in my home office, a little bit of backup might not be a bad idea.This was easy to set up, just unwrap and plug in. The remote didn't seem to work, but I don't know if that's because of a dead battery or not aiming it at the sensor correctly. I'll dig into that more later.It beeps for 30 seconds to warn you to leave the area. The included sunglasses are good if you do have to go back in (not sure if transitions lenses will block UV enough, but these do fit over my regular glasses). I smelled the ozone almost immediately, so that seems to be quite functional.Once I get the remote worked out, I'll be putting it on top of a shelf in my office and using it when I leave the room or the house for a while. At $68 it's probably a good price - my regular-use air cleaners cost a fair bit more. I might use them in the bathrooms when I'm the only one home, to give an extra cleaning step to them now and then.
