Work extremely well. Give your home or room a very fresh smell when finished

This is a real ultraviolet light, which apparently some other bulbs for sale on Amazon aren't. I didn't do any tests with petri dishes or anything, but I'm confident that they are disinfecting surfaces. They visibly reduce black mold in the shower when directly exposed. It will produce ozone though, because UV light rips apart O2 molecules, and that was something I wasn't aware of before purchasing this.

I have used this lamp in every room of the apartment I moved into, which hadn't been cleaned in over two years and had some pretty nasty grime and gunk. There was black mold by the water heater, and I could smell mildew around the place, so I bought this to sanitize the cabinets under the sinks, the garage, the area around the refrigerator, and the closet under the stairs. When I saw that it bleached the grout in the bathroom downstairs, I was amazed and started using it everywhere. When I moved in, there were spiders, earwigs, silverfish, little gnats flying around, flies, and mosquitoes. Currently there are no insects that I can see anywhere. I have been rotating the location of the lamp from the garage to the downstairs bathroom to the kitchen, and then to the upstairs laundry room and bathroom. My apartment smells great because it smells like nothing. If you're nervous about the UV C rays, it's important to know that using this light does require you to avoid looking at it or shining the light on your skin. That means keeping your pets away from it while it's on. So if you have somewhere for your pets to stay, like a bathroom or bedroom with the door closed, while the lamp is on, this is a good product for you. It only takes 5, 15, or 30 minutes to do it's magic, plus about 10 minutes to air it out afterward (it creates ozone with the reaction of the light and the germs). I've used it 8 times for 30 minutes each so far and had no uaeage problems. I highly recommend this lamp to keep your home free from dangerous germs and bugs.

I want to make two comments. One is on the product and the other is in regards to customer service.First is the product, which is really excellent.I’ve had mold at times giving me headaches, a runny nose and dry coughs and no clue how to get rid of it. I put this in a room, set it for 15 minutes, let the room fill with ozone and left the door closed for a couples hours. After I opened the windows to let fresh air in and the mold problem was gone. Just follow the directions.Second is customer service, which again is really excellent. After about 6 weeks the timer stopped working. As soon as I plugged in the light it turned on and stayed on until I pulled the plug. The 30 day refund had expired so I was going to buy a light timer to turn it on and off, but I emailed the company and within an hour or so they responded. I provided proof of purchase, they sent me a tracking number the next day and a new timer showed up over night. I don’t know if it can get better than that. The product and support are outstanding.

UV sanitation works, and to their credit the seller includes documentation on how to safely use it.Unfortunately they provide poor instructions on the timer operation, and the lamp base gets uncomfortably hot; So hot that leaving it on for one hour could be dangerous ?First it is not a remote control, it is a timer on the power cord.Second the colors printed on the timer do not match the colors of the flashing LED.In fact they do not even match the colors on the Amazon page. My timer has a Blue dot 5min.,Orange dot 15min., Red dot 30min. printed on the label; YET the flashing led colors areRed, Green, and Blue. I tested the lamp for the first time in a closed room, on the "Blue 5min". setting. When I came back 40minutes later the lamp was still on the the air was irritatingly pungent! This aside from being aggravating is a health hazard. I took out the UV lamp and tried to figure out theridiculous timer with an LED bulb. After several trials I realized that this timer was 15, 30, and 60 min. That they had probably put the wrong sticker on it.With that kind of negligence I was concerned that the bulb could be other than the advertised 185Nm wavelength. So I examined the bulb to see if it was labeled as to the wavelength of UV light produced. As with the other bulbs I have had the misfortune of buying no such label was present.Instead of printing the actual wavelength they print an O3 which is a clever way of avoiding liability ! The seller advertises two lamps one Ozone producing 185Nm wavelength(O3) , and the other(non) Ozone producing 253.7Nm wavelength.Last night I was so frustrated and angry after having to waste time and energy figuring out somethingthat THE SELLER SHOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF, that I initiated a return. Now, it is the next day and my anger has diminished , and since I have done all that work , am going to keep it. When I use the lamp I will put it in a metal pot on top of a porcelain plate; So that if it does catch fire, it won't burn my house down while I am away. You must be prepared to be away when operating these lamps, so that you don't breathe the ozone.
