I needed a light that would hang asymmetrically, since my wiring was in an odd place. This matte gold mid-century modern light fixture is fabulous and fits exactly how I needed to in my kitchen.

Love this light, was easy to install it myself. My only complaint is that I had to pay an additional $23 in duties when it arrived. I’ve never had that happen with an Amazon purchase before.

The lamp is good quality; the globes are thick milk glass with plenty of thread-on. The metal arms are thick.Ready for the "however"? No surprise, given that it's a Chinese rip off -- they didn't invest in instruction writing / translation. You'll figure out to put all three arms on (instructions are for one). It is possible to put the arms on upside down. Ask me how I know. The real "need to know" is that when you want to orient the long arm, loosen the nut on the bottom center of the hub. There is enough play in the wires (which are a decent gauge!) that you can spin the lamp at least 90 degrees; then retighten the nut. They give white gloves; no idea why. They give a wrench, no idea why because it is absolutely worthless. Screwing the nuts on inside the tiny center hub is a challenge. Small fingers are required. Getting it screwed in the last bit - I tried everything. Needle nose pliers were at least small enough to fit in. Not fun. While normally you can flip a wrench and get another quarter turn, not this wrench. Flip it and it is in the exact same position. (My wrenches were too thick to fit in and/or I just didn't have the exact size.) However, the arms are sturdy and not having the nut super tight didn't seem to be a big issue. Do NOT try to spin the arms on the last bit. If the arm is rotated 90 degrees, it gets tight/stuck.So, if you like the looks of the lamp, buy it! It solved a problem for us: the ceiling fixture location is not centered with the one in the kitchen / center of the window / table. (Not evident in the picture because of the angle at which it was photographed.) The asymmetry worked out very nicely.Just double how long it would normally take you to mount a ceiling light and budget that much time.

This took some patience to install but we love how it turned out. It is large and would go quicker with two people to install. But we love how it throws light to the whole room and comes with the bulbs to save you a trip to the hardware store. It definitely upgraded our bedroom and didn't break the bank. Would recommend if you're looking for a bright, mid-century, unique addition to your room in a ceiling light.
