I bought this film specifically to protect my Solid Surface countertops during transport from my workshop and throughout the construction process. It's been a great solution - the adhesive is strong enough to stay in place, but removes cleanly without any residue. I've seen some reviewers mention issues with air pockets. If you simply roll the film out over a dry surface, yes, you'll likely get a number of air pockets underneath. For my purposes, this wasn't a problem; the film still provided adequate protection. However, if you want a completely smooth, bubble-free installation, I've found a trick that works well: Spray a generous amount of water between the film and the surface. This will give you enough lubrication to position the film on top and slide it around until it's perfectly aligned. Once in place, use a squeegee to push the water out and smooth the film. By the next day, the water will have evaporated, leaving you with a smooth, securely attached layer of protective film. The process is similar to applying paint protection film (PPF) to a vehicle. Overall, I'm very happy with this product's performance for my needs. I don't think this is meant to be film with high quality appearance.

I purchased this bench protection film which was delivered on April 5th, 2023 for use in my short term rental properties. This film (which is very heavy) was carried by hand from Los Angeles to New Zealand at great effort.Here is where my concerns begin: On unsealing the product and applying it to the first bench top it was noted that there was a cut in the film (you can clearly see it in the photos). No big deal, it would just be the outer layer damaged in transit or something. So I removed the film and applied another layer, then another and another. This film was cut in the same 2 places through the entire roll, right through, the same length of slice mark. Because of the cut, it makes application to the bench tops (which is a 2 person job, as the film stretches/expands) impossible for use in a visually unnoticeable way.Having carried this item 6,700 miles to destination only to find it has clearly been intentionally damaged in the factory, or that there was poor quality control (or both) is incredibly frustrating. I will have to bin this and consider it a direct cash loss on purchase.The item is not cheap, you need to improve QC in your factories and whoever damaged the item needs to be fired, or the machine that damaged it needs to be replaced. I am so angry.

Bought this to protect new granite and quartz counters we install. The problem is is doesn't stick to and honed or seed surfaces. Works great on polished stones, but that is it.
