The unit looks very nice. Extra long chains.

This hoist gets the job done but it takes dealing with some frustration along the way. The chain you pull on gets hung up ever so often. And you have to back off and then get back into it. It's like two steps forward one step back about half the time.

I recently received the Hand Chain Hoist with a 2200 lbs capacity for my garage, and I couldn't be more satisfied with its performance! This industrial-grade chain block is everything I needed for my automotive projects and more.**Pros:**1. **Sturdy Construction:** The hoist feels incredibly robust and well-built. The G80 galvanized chain is not only strong but also resistant to corrosion, which is a huge plus for longevity.2. **Impressive Load Capacity:** With a capacity of 1 ton (2200 lbs), it handles heavy loads with ease. I’ve used it to lift various automotive parts and machinery, and it performs flawlessly every time.3. **Smooth Operation:** The hand chain mechanism operates smoothly and allows for precise lifting. I appreciate how easily I can control the speed and height of the load, which makes it safer and more efficient.4. **Length of Chain:** The 10-foot chain length provides plenty of versatility for different lifting scenarios. Whether I’m working in tight spaces or need additional reach, this hoist delivers.5. **Great Value:** Given its performance and durability, I believe this hoist offers exceptional value for the price. It’s a reliable tool that I expect will last for years to come.**Cons:**- **Weight:** While it’s understandable for a hoist of this capacity to have some weight, it can be a bit cumbersome to move around. However, this is a minor issue considering its durability and strength.Overall, I highly recommend the Hand Chain Hoist to anyone in need of a reliable lifting solution for garages, warehouses, or any industrial application. It has exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to using it for many projects ahead. If you're looking for a high-quality chain hoist that delivers on its promises, this is the one to get!

This is a very standard chain hoist (chain block) and I have owned several very similar types over the years, all manufactured in the same region. This particular hoist appears to be of good quality. It raises and lowers easily and I have tested it without any incidents. The unit I received is supposed to have a maximum lift capability of 2200 lbs., and lift range of about 20 feet; however, this one had a maximum lift range of 18 feet as you cannot include the hoist body and hooks. Its maximum reach with the body, chain, and hooks was only about 19 feet. No deal breaker there as I only needed about 12 feet in range (and really could have made do with a half ton hoist). My main complaint is with the documentation/instructions. There are way too many misspellings which just add to confusion. I can work through them, but others may not be able. Also, references lead you nowhere. For example, under MAINTENANCE: 3. Align the "O" marks of the two gears while assembling as shown in Section View RIGHT." Well, there is no 'Section View' to view. Very obviously something is missing. If the wording is incorrect, one might assume the specifications themselves might be incorrect.

This works smoothly and seems up to the task - haven't tried a max load yet but it functions well. Its relatively compact and that keeps the additional overhead height needed to a minimum.Do note that this is a 20 foot hoist - if using it for shorter lifts, you are going to have a lot of excess chain to manage on both the operator and lifting sides. This isn't a problem but you have to manage it.There isn't a catch bucket for the lift chain - not surprising - there isn't one shown but I will be rigging one up to catch the lift chain below the hoist when using it vertical. If used for pulling, the length of the hand chain will be a bit of a nusence but its manageable and the hoist seems to operate fine on a horizontal pull -This seems like a well made and relatively inexpensive hoist and the 20' height is great. It works fine and behaves like others costing a lot more.
