I bought these after reading that my babies needed a higher food bowl for their necks, and I think it does the job. They like it, the quality is good (we have used them for few months now), and the lines inside the bowls allow them to eat a little bit slower.

My cat wasn't finishing her food. She's 16 and seems to have spine issues. So I stacked her food dishes to help her until I decided to buy these. They seemed a little low, but my cat likes them. I use one for dry cat food. I put water in the other one, but it confused my cat. So I turned the dish/bowl over and put her old water bowl in the base. She likes cold water and the plastic dish didn't seem like it could keep the water as cool as her porcelain water bowl. Now she doesn't hesitate to use it. Bonus is that I can drop these and they won't break, except for her water bowl that I stuck in of the dishes.

The raised bowl really helps my disabled kitten eat without falling in his food. However, the grooves within the bowl make it difficult for both cats for eat all their food.

I bought these because our senior cat was having some digestive issues. (Throwing up his dry food after eating).1. The non-stick was great initially, but quickly went away the first month. We have to scrub out the wet food that drys on with a hard bristle brush to get it clean.2. I’m pretty sure they caused an acne breakout.I noticed his chin and whisker area looked dirty. (He's a an orange tabby, white chin). Something I’ve never seen on him. So after some internet searches I discovered it was acne/ blackheads.I found out this was common for cats and can be caused from plastic feeding dishes if the dishes are not thoroughly cleaned. Bacteria thrives better on plastic when compared to metal or glass. Then the bacteria irritates the contact area. In this case my cats lower chin and nose area. So no more refilling the dry food bowl, it must be throughly washed every feeding. I didn’t even know cats could get acne, but it’s a thing and sort of easy to fix if your cat will let you clean his whiskers and chin.3. I can’t say if it helped with his digestion because he went on a special prescription diet at the same time and is doing well. The price is the only positive I have. I paid just over $11 and today they are $8.
