This is a good DIY starter solar kit. I'm using it to connect and charge a 12V 10Ah small LiFePo4 battery to run some seedling warming mats and fans in my otherwise unpowered greenhouse this early spring. After a bit of trial and error, and glitichness everything seems to tbe working okay. Best for me is that this controller works with a LiFePo4 battery, just requires a manual config. Decent value for money at the current price of $27..

At the time of writing this review, this 20 watt solar panel and controller kit costs $42.99.I have a few solar panels I use in the summer to charge small things around the house, and in the winter I use them to heat the interior of my house. You'd be surprised at how much heat 100 watts of power can throw off.This solar panel kit is being used in conjunction with other panels I have, but I am also using this controller to store the power in a battery, or to power the small heater.I measure the voltage with my multimeter. Peak voltage in direct sunlight was 12.4v. I would have like to see around 13v but this is adequate. It's enough to maintain a car battery if needed.The voltage was steady, thanks to the built in PWM. I feel comfortable connecting this to my batteries and electronics knowing there's always going to be either no voltage or stable voltage.This panel should fit in most windows or in most windshields. It measures at 14.2" x 12.2", edge to edge.Hooking up and setting up is fool proof. It takes only a few minutes from open to charging, even without the included instructions.This is also going to be a great way to keep some small things charged when I go camping this summer. Usually we go off grid, but we like to use small spears and stuff to listen to music in the evening or while cooking and this should easily be able to keep them powered the entire time, and then some.The build quality is okay. It's not rugged and I wouldn't install this anywhere that may experience striking, such as hail or near doors or anywhere someone can bump into it. The frame bends easily.Still, it's a good, all inclusive kit for only $43. Highly recommended for techies and enthusiasts.5/5 stars.

This review is for a TCEUMIK 20W 12V Solar Panel Kit.This is a nice bit of kit for a reasonable price.The panel output cable is unterminated, so you can add your own terminations as you wish. There are also two additional cables. Take a look at the Amazon listing for details.The PV panel comes “bare”, without a mounting frame. You have to come up with your own way of mounting it to a surface. There are two pre-drilled screw points on each side of the aluminum frame.On a West Texas afternoon, 2pm, cloudless sky, at 54*F, this panel outputs 18w, as tested with an Elejoy EY800W tester.This was used to power yet another security camera and motion detector light in a remote location. I used the MPPT controller with a 23W LiFePo4 battery. Make sure you follow the connection instructions carefully. After 3 days, this is still charging the battery and light.This is a nice little panel for various projects. The MPPT controller is a bonus, and is appropriate for light duties. If y ou are looking for a smallPV panel, this is a good choice.
