I was not looking forward to changing out the valve in my basketball, but I watched a video and decided this was something I could do. This kit worked great! I have extra valves for the future now too!

My molten volleyball was under inflated when trying to replace the valve with the provided tool. The valve ended up falling into the ball and took quite some time to retrieve with needle nose pliers. Once that painful extraction was complete, installation of the new valve was very easy and no leaks.

Pude componer mis balones mirando dos o tres videos en YouTube. La herramienta para sacar la válvula inservible funciona bien.

I really liked the valve kit. I had tons of old volleyballs from the school that were all leaking and fixed every one that only had a valve leak. Steps: firstly fill a sink with water, fill the ball and check for where the leaks are. This will only repair a valve leak so if it leaks anywhere on the seams then you will have to look elsewhere for how to fix. I just turned the balls into hats by slicing them up for school supporters. Once leaky valve is found, use the hook tool and pull them out at an angle, like you are digging them up using the hook. Once out. Use a 1/4 inch driver to put over the new valve. I needed to cut the valve stem a bit shorter so the driver would come down further over it. This was no problem as I still needed to cut the valve stem down afterwards even more once inserted. Then just push it straight down into the hole until it makes a slight pop sound and feel. I actually put a small bit of silicone on it to make it glide a bit easier but they are already a bit slippery anyways. Now you can pump up the ball and then slice any part of the valve stem that still sticks out past the exterior ball surface. Mission complete. I used this with volleyballs but the same configuration will be on soccer, footballs, rugby, handballs and basketballs.

So glad I purchased this item. Replace my first valve tonight. Using it on volleyballs for my school team. The picture shows the old disintegrating valve I removed next to one of the new ones. The removal was easy. I used the tool in the kit and it pulled it right out. I used glycerin as the lubricant. I read it was the best for inflating balls. Putting in the new valve was harder. I used a small pair of needle nosed plyers and grasped the valve just on top of the fat part of the valve and pushed hard. I will do more balls tomorrow. I recommend this product.

The valves are amazing. VERY easy to install. So easy that I thought I had done something wrong. The valve puller that comes in the package, however is awful. It does not work. I ended up using a crochet hook to get the old valves out. That worked well. I should have used a slightly smaller hook though, because I accidentally pushed some of the old valves into some of the balls and my girls soccer team now hate using those ones because the rattle. Maybe lube the hook too, to ensure that the hook goes through the valve all the way before trying to fish it out. I have no idea how the get the ones I mess up on out.
