I am very, very, happy with this item!!I have experience with solar systems and find this is very much like a 12 VDC, 200 watt unit I have used for a few years,Several uses are planned,* and for now (early spring) the panel is in the garage window to charge the vehicle battery during colder days in winter. The vehicle isn't driven frequently and I find all the electronics drain the battery while parked.* come summer, camping is in order and this will be well used to charge the RV battery. This item is easy to pack.* the ACE IN THE HOLE I love is that the controller provides a charging source for phones, tablets, and other 5 VDC devices, even my flashlights. There are 2 USB ports on the controller so phone charge in the boonies, no problem.* This item includes charge controller, alligator connectors for auto batteries, a second plain wire connector, and cable from the solar panel itself. All cables are red/black wires to keep polarity in check.* The controller is versatile for several battery types, load managing without over-charging, several safety things like wrong polarity sensing, short circuit protection and more.* The little LCD screen provides display of charge voltage, battery voltage and battery level of charge.* output power is 20 watts at 12 VDC with two 5 VDC USB.Please, why not a back-lit screen to read in the dark??Otherwise a perfect solar charging "kit"!

It is very inconvenient to have to loosen the screws on the controller for the solar panel wires every time it gets connected to a battery, failure to do so is very troubling. If the solar panel is connected to the controller before the controller is connected to a battery then the regulator will not work, it won't cut off the voltage for example in B1 lead acid mode at 14.4 volts, the voltage will just keep rising, I've seen it as high as about 18 volts, not good, however a simple solution would be to have quick connectors on the solar panel wires, I also found that placing the solar panel in the box and closing the lid tight to keep any light out also works with the wires connected to the controller, this is very important information and a safety matter. Now that you fully understand how and when to connect this solar panel, just be sure that it's not overcharging, for example again in B1 lead acid mode, as the battery charges it should eventually (depending on the state of charge)(SOC) stop charging at 14.4 volts, as the voltage drops to 13.2 volts it will start charging again up to 14.4 volts, this cycle just continues to ensure that the battery stays charged without overcharging. The regulator works very well at maintaining a fully charged battery even when using the battery to charge other devices. The USB-A charging ports also work very well, of coarse this is a very low draw on the battery. The solar panel is quite large and works very well, especially in full sun. I'm very happy with this solar battery charger, 1 star off for not having quick connects for the solar panel and a large out front warning that the solar panel must not be connected until after the battery is connected.

This TCEUNIK 50 watt solar panel, battery charging kit includes two 4.92 ft. cables, a compact charging controller, and a high efficiency monocrystalline solar panel. The panel measures approximately 18 by 22 inches. Comes with a durable tempered glass top and aluminum frame. The panel seems strong and well constructed. It can withstand harsh environments (-40 F to 176 F), as well as strong winds, dust, hail, and snowstorms! The panel’s frame has pre-drilled holes for securing mounting options. The charging controller features advanced PWM (pulse width modulation) to regulate the charging of batteries by switching the solar panel’s output on and off rapidly to control the charging voltage and current amps up to 10 amps. This allows several different battery types to be charged safely. Charges a lot of battery types, which is perfect for my needs. I need to charge LiFePO batteries, which require extra care and different charging than regular lead acid! Does lithium as well. The kit comes with excellent and comprehensive instructions for the charging controller, and also a user guide and instruction booklet for installing and connecting the system! Lots of pictures and diagrams that are fairly straight forward to follow! This system works great for 12 and/or 24 volt battery systems including: RV trailers, motor homes, boats, cabins, sheds, generator systems, light displays, off grid applications, and remote vehicle charging! The conversion rate is 24%, which is quite good! Most residential panels are between 18% to 24% …so this is definitely at the top end of high efficiency. Very happy with this 50 watt system!

This solar panel couldn't have arrived at a better time. Recently, my area was hit by a pretty severe freezing rain storm, and power in my neighborhood was knocked out for over four days. I had this panel and was able to set it up, connected to a LiPo battery that I already owned. Each day, even in gloomy weather, the panel was able to collect enough energy to charge the LiPo so I could use it to run a USB light at night. In the midst of the mess and dealing with the aftermath of this storm, I was able to use this panel to take away one worry, and that was a reliable light source at night. It was simple to set up, and the charge controller worked perfectly. Having the large alligator clips included gave me a simple way to connect the battery to the panel.Overall, I would suggest that, at a minimum, most people own a panel like this, as it can make a huge difference when you need it.WHAT I LIKED:• Well made• Easy to set up• Charge controller was easy to use• Multiple ways to connect it to your system• Alligator clips made it very easy to set up in an emergencyWHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:• Nothing; this panel was the perfect solution for what I needed.

I recently picked up this 50-watt solar panel kit, and overall, I’m really happy with it. It works well with both 12V and 24V systems, and I’ve been using it to charge my LiFePO4 batteries. It does a pretty good job at keeping them topped up efficiently. The kit includes a basic solar controller, which is nice because it lets you plug everything in and get started right away. The solar panel itself feels decently well-built and is waterproof on the top side, making it good for rain and splashes. I wouldn’t trust the underside to take on much water though—it’s more splash-proof than fully waterproof. The controller, however, is not waterproof at all, so you’ll want to keep it protected from the elements.Function-wise, the solar controller charges my batteries as expected. It’s pretty basic, though, and doesn’t auto-detect your battery type, so you’ll need to manually set it up for your specific battery chemistry. Once it’s dialed in, it works just fine. The USB outlets on the controller are fairly slow, so I don’t really use them—instead, I just run everything through the socket panel connected to my battery. One thing I really appreciated is that it came with both alligator clips and terminal eyelet wires, giving you flexibility depending on your setup. The panel itself is a good size, and honestly, it’s the best part of the kit. It performs well and does exactly what I need.In the end, this is a great entry-level solar setup for anyone getting into off-grid charging. It’s not fancy, but it works reliably and is a solid value.
