Comes with everything you need- the yarn isn’t fancy stuff (it’s just acrylic) but it does the trick. I love the little penguin shape- he’s super cute.

So cute! My wife likes that our granddaughter has learned to crochet little animals now because of this kit and she makes them all the time. It comes with everything you need to finish the bunny. They also offer invaluable digital instruction! So thrilled with this kit.

I would not recommend the turtle as your very first crochet animal. It is a little difficult and the instructions are meant for someone who has at least done a few of them. But yes, if you've done a few animals that this one is super cute and everything needed was included.

I ordered this cute beginner kit because while I'm not new to crochet, it's been a few years since I held a hook and I'm just now trying to get into amigurumi style projects. This kit is perfect as it comes with everything needed. The easy, no split yarn gives the finished project a sleeker look, there is plenty of stuffing to make your penguin as pudgy as you prefer, and the included 3mm hook, metal yarn needle, stitch markers, and safety eyes, mean you don't have to run out for anything before you can get started!The pattern is single crochet stitch only, with some increases and decreases, and uses the magic ring technique. The included video is helpful for those who are new to reading crochet patterns or just do better with visual learning, but the pattern is useful if you are experienced and would rather just follow the booklet.Overall, I really like this kit, it's price makes it an easy gift or simple project to entertain yourself without spending alot, and I think that even if you are new to crochet, if you have the basics down, you can do this!
