I purchased this to replace one in my fan that was shorting out. When this one was put in, it did not work at all. Once the fan was hard wired back in, it ran normally. Not recommended.

Purchase this remote kit in hopes to have all our fans with the same remote. It seemed to work for a week. Then our light started flashing when we would turn it on and the fan sopped working. We checked all our connections, put the old unit back on and it works fine! There's an obvious problem with the unit that we received!

Our old receiver died but the remote was fine. We found this replacement that is the same model of the one that died along with the remote. So we figured that we would have a spare remote just in case. Got everything installed. Dip switches set the same and the fan light turns on with the wall switch with on problems. Tried the fan and light with the remote and nothing. No on off of light and no speed change with the fan. Fan stuck in low speed. Our fan doesn't have the pull chain to change settings, so the remote has to work to change the settings. Verified dip switches and all was correct. Saw nothing in the manual for synching the remote to the receiver, so it should just work. But it doesn't! Flipped the wall switch on & off a couple of times and the light turned off and the fan flipped to high. Tried the remote again to control the fan and no change , however, the light did turn back on pushing the fan option. Since the fan was so high up we are leaving it as is. So the fan is on high and the light turns on & off from the wall. Leaving it like it is.Just FYI, since the old receiver and remote were the same model, we did try the old remote and it didn't work either, so the issue is in the receiver.We gave it a 3 star since the system is powering on and off at the wall. But it is a bd receiver unit for the remote.
