Does not work correctly in any of my vehicles. Ford, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Nissian. Issue is it will either turn off while in use or will not turn on at all - I had thought this to be a problem with the connection but even insuring that it did not move while driving it would continue to shut off. I confirmed I was using the correct setting, even trying to switch it over just in case, but no go. I loved the idea, but I guess i'll just have to order hardwire kits.

Love not having to plug cig lighter plug anymore.Also great that it keeps power for a while after car turned off.

Tan pronto como llegó lo instalé, la instalación fue fácil y rápida. Lo tardado fue pasar el cable pero nada muy complicado. Los clips con los que viene fueron muy utiles para hacer un carril para pasar el cable por un costado.Por ahora solo he puesto a prueba el modo "O" que se apaga 20 minutos después de apagar el carro. Funciona correctamente, falta probar el otro modo y revisar que no drene la batería del carro, editaré la review cuando lo pruebe.Lo utilicé con una dashcam Lanmodo D1 en un Mercury Mystique del 97 y todo bien por el momento, el cable es algo largo pero mejor que sobre a que falte.Al principio no encendía debido a que estaba mal enchufado el conector OBD, cuidado con eso.10/10 👌🏽

I installed it to the OBD port, had some issues with the internal trim details finding the best route of the cable up to the camera, but found a good solution after some sweat and encouraging language.I find this OBDII cable very useful as it provides two different recording options after vehicle engine is shut off. That in combination with the options of my camera makes the setup flexible and I can easily choose what options I prefer best.Highly recommended due to ease of installation, flexibility, and options provided.

Bought this for my Redtiger dashcam and this works very well for powering the dash cam. The parking mode keeps the dashcam powered on for an additional 20 minutes or so after you shut your car off, and thats ok with me.

Dash Cam OBD Hardwire Kit Review.I ordered the wrong one (USB-C) and kept it in case a newer dash cam comes along. I ordered a similar product with a micro USB end and it worked perfectly. I'm okay with vehicle wiring, but this eliminates the task of hard-wiring a dash cam to the vehicle's fuse panel. It took five minutes to install the OBD hard wire adapter and route the cable to my dash cam.I tested this OBD hardwire kit on my friend's dash cam, and it functioned the same as my micro USB version. The switch on the device controls two modes. The first mode allows the dash cam to operate while driving and shuts it off after five minutes when the vehicle is turned off.The second mode allows the dash cam to operate while driving, but when the vehicle is turned off, the dash cam continues to record in parking/sentry mode. The settings in the dashcam will dictate how often video footage is recorded. My dash cam had been recording overnight and into the morning with a 12.1-volt battery reading. It is set to parking mode, which allows it to record nearby movement and goes into dormant mode when there is no activity.This product is worth looking into if you want a quick way to power your dash cam!
