These things have a very specific purpose - wind and/or light rain.Outside of those to scenarios, it would be tough for me to say it's my "go to."Picked these up for those windy days on the soccer field and for that purpose, they are solid! They cut the wind very well and the soft inside makes them pretty cozy.There was even a cold, rainy Sunday morning I gave it to the team to hold over their heads on the bench. The plastic side will hold off a light rain for a short period, but don't expect this thing to replace your rain jacket.For those two scenarios, it was very good. Now... the not so great...This thing is noisy. Every move is crinkly and that crinkly plastic does NOT breath like an old school flannel or wool blanket. The result is that kind of clammy warm/hot feeling that gets a bit uncomfortable.At this point, I kind of just keep it in the truck as a "just in case" and for that... it's perfect. I like multi-use items and since this has some capabilities in the rain and keeps you warm in a pinch, I am a big fan.If you're looking for something to throw in the truck and have in case the fam gets cold, this checks all the boxes.

I bought this blanket for sporting activities outside. It helped keep rain off while running to my car and also great at blocking wind. I wouldn’t say it is super warm, but it gives that little extra added protection from the elements. It is always in my car!

I bought this for a cruise to Alaska and was pleased with the blanket being lightweight. I used a compression bag to pack it in my suitcase and it took up very little room. I used it on my balcony on the cooler, breezy days and the blanket kept me warm and dry.

Came very clumsily packed as if it was returned already.The top layer is stuck to the bottom layer making it difficult to stand flat.Has a whole in it as shown in the picture.The quality is good but not excellent.I'll have to return it.

We have two of these - purchased one to start with, and my wife liked it when we went camping with it, so bought another one.These aren't poofy type blankets - but they are pretty much windproof (for the most part), nice sized, and the fleece lining gives a good amount of warmth. I would not use this as a sleeping bag, but as a camp blanket, extra blanket over sleeping bag, etc. They roll up easily and fit into their bag without having to spit out a bunch of swear words! They washed in the washing machine just fine.Good camp blankie.Edit: The more we use these, the more we really like them (17 nights so far). These blankets really are warm and helpful. We have 2 (one for each of us), and one night that was really cold (below freezing/high altitude) I pulled it into my sleeping bag and put it over me, and within 2-3 minutes, I could tell that it was really retaining body heat quite well, and it warmed me up. They are big enough to cover a regular-sized person (if your super tall, they may be a bit short). They are still holding up well to repeated washings.For the price, these blankets really are a good buy. They are standard equipment in my overland setup, and I don't go camping without them. Highly recommend.
