I’ve been using the KINGBOLEN Soloscan Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner for my Mercedes-Benz and Sprinter fleet, and overall, I’m pretty impressed with what it offers. This scanner delivers full-system diagnostics, live data streaming, and several handy reset functions, all wrapped up in a compact, Bluetooth-enabled package. What I Like:Comprehensive Diagnostics: I’m able to read and clear codes from various systems like the engine, transmission, ABS, and airbags. It’s great not having to rely on multiple tools or guesswork.Live Data Streaming: I really like the live data feature. It’s helped me identify issues quickly by letting me see what’s going on with the sensors in real-time.Wireless Convenience: The Bluetooth connectivity is a game-changer. It gives me the flexibility to move around the vehicle without being tethered by cables.User-Friendly Interface: I found the setup and navigation pretty straightforward. Even if you're not a seasoned tech, you can pick this up and get started without too much hassle. What Could Be Better:Compatibility: While it works well with most of my vehicles, I did run into limitations on a couple of older models. It’s definitely worth checking compatibility before buying.App Experience: The app that pairs with the scanner can be sluggish at times. There’s room for improvement in the layout and speed, especially during updates or deeper scans.Final Thoughts:If you’re looking for a diagnostic tool specifically for Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter, or Maybach vehicles, I think the KINGBOLEN Soloscan is a solid option. It’s reliable, wireless, and covers a wide range of systems. Just double-check your vehicle compatibility and be patient with the app—otherwise, it’s a smart addition to any toolbox.

I have done quite a bit of troubleshooting on my Mercedes Sprinter using an Autel 808S. The Autel is a great pro-level scanner, so this is what I am comparing the Soloscan to. So far, it compares very favorably. I am able to monitor fuel rail pressure, for example. Fuel rail pressure is one parameter that cannot be directly measured in a practical sense, since it is in the thousands of PSI when the vehicle is at speed, so it needs to be measured via the sensor, and the Soloscan does that well. The Soloscan also has a graphical display of fuel rail pressure as well as three other parameters simultaneously. It also has ECU coding capability, as well as sensor calibration or TPMS initialization. The only negative I can think of? The display (my iPhone 13 mini) is small, but that is dependent on your phone of course. Since the Soloscan is so tiny, I can just keep it in my glove box in case I ever need it while on the road.Very capable tool for a low price, recommended.

I got this KINGBOLEN Soloscan Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner for my Mercedes Sprinter. While I am a retired engineer and experienced in using diagnostic devices, I had trouble accessing the diagnostic data on this device. I contacted Kingbolen’s customer support and got an immediate reply. That improved my experience but I was still having issues with navigating the various screens. I went back to their customer support and asked a few follow up questions and each time they were helpful. I’m now able to navigate the device and find the data I needed.Build quality seems good, while it wasn’t too easy for me to use at first and functionality was a challenge, their customer support is good, seems like good value for the money having live PID data and bi-directional control to diagnose concerns. Of course, delete diagnostic trouble codes and turning off check engine lights are easy to accomplish.

I work with postal 447 Metris right hand drive vehicles, the tool used for diagnostic and coding is called xentry and even that tool is limited in certain areas where the tech requires to have certifications and clearance to perform the job, this tool couldn’t connect with the pcm in a running vehicle, also there is a mistake on what this tool calls coding and what Mercedes coding is. You need to code a unit when is new or used from a donor vehicle, this requires to change vin # and retrieve vehicle data from Mercedes servers to write it onto the new module, this is a paid service and this tool DOES NOT do it, you will be able to read errors / erase them , watch live data , activate things in certain modules and set minor preferences like auto lock, but you will never be able to program a module/ecu new or used nor program keys or anything related to vehicle security, this tool was given to me for review and I wish I could return it because is not worth the investment.
