This shed is plastic with some metal strips. Bought this because it states that they’re metal. Could have bought a much cheaper one that states they are plastic- the correct description but bought this ( exactly the same) one because it says it’s metal £100 more expensive. Misleading.

I purchased this 14 months ago for back yard storage. It has seen little use after storing some light weight items in it - sleeping bags, camp chairs, etc. I have opened it and closed it no more that two dozen times. A month ago I saw that one side of the top had sprung loose. Shortly thereafter the other side suffered the same fate. The cause is that two screws on each side that hold the hinge to the lid have pulled out of their plastic mounting holes, stripping the threads. To fix it, I am going to have to drill through the top and use brass or stainless screws, washers and nuts along with sealant. I live in Southern California and it sees sun and (too little) rain. Needs a redesign to be useful.

Excellent storage box. It's small enough that you don't have to deal with "shed" issues; including tipping over. It was easy to assemble and fits a lot quite nicely.

In my opinion, the design for the lid is horrible -- there really isn't any better way to say it. The lid is about 10-15 pounds; it attaches to hinges with screws that screw into plastic holes on the bottom of the lid. After about two months of very, very light use, these screws just ripped out of the the plastic holes. I tried to fix the problem on my own by trying to use larger screws, but that isn't an option since the screws holes are pre-formed and will only use the screw size provided -- otherwise the plastic screw hole will crack completely.I called the manufacturer and this is a known issue with absolutely no fix. Before I could even describe the issue, the operator asked me if the lid was malfunctioning. They sent me out a new lid and two months later I have the same issue with the new lid. I called them back and they're sending out a replacement lid AGAIN. It takes about 30-45 to complete the replacement swap by the way. They said they will continue to send out replacement lids for the first two years and then I will have the option to buy them myself.Is this really even worth the trouble?? I am going to be forced to swap out the lid every few months and then, after two years of doing that, I can continue the process but now I have to pay for the replacement lids. Wish I would've bought something else.

I like the product. Good product for the price.But, I've had a few issues with things stripping out....definitely concerned about reliability.So, I would recommend this. But, my guess is 5 years with somewhat regular use would be pushing it.
