Good winch. You have to hold remote plug into winch while using, as it doesn’t make a tight enough connection.

It worked for me. I bought it to extract a crashed 950 pound snowmobile. It was down a steep slope just 15 feet. This winch would not pull it up by itself. So it seems way weaker than the rated pull. Yes I was not doubled up using a snatch block, but still should have a single line pull of 3000 pounds and should have popped this sled right out. I had to add a small come-a-long to help this winch.the winch stopped working for a bit. seems the problem is in the remote. possible that snow and water got into it. started working again so I didn't investigate further.
